I think people with personal issues tend to be heavily infested in the anti-male sentiment, or anti-female sentiment. Divorced men that see their kids once a week, or women that continue to be attracted to bad men and then not changing. Of course there are some general disadvantages (and advantages) to being either a man or a woman, but individually there is just so much variation.

It's always easy to think of group versus group. It's easy to blame an entire group of people based on genitalia. You no longer have to think and question your own position, or have a real conversation. No, instead you become the holy crusader.
