no it is not dumb, i have had quite a few encounters with darker beings to the point where i trust them alot more than any light/love being.
from what i have gathered both from the dark beings the have been by my side and from other astral/spiritual soruces the "dark angels" they are like full blown protectors where as the bright white/full of love and light angels are more of a quick and easy for the masses that don't really think too much about the information they are getting.
The dark beings are very highly skilled at observing, tracking and defending and offence measures.
If there's a threat to you within the astral/spiritual plains/realms they are the ones which will normally quickly step in and remove the threat quickly as they are very skilled at what they do and most other beings know that and hence don't go up against them very often
