Tips For Boosting The Immune System

Basically the foundation of poor health is: nutrient poor diet, overtoxicity in the body (which is caused by all the chemicals we are exposed to on a daily basis for example from additives and preservatives in food or chemicals in household products), stress and physical trauma.

When we get the nutrients our bodies need as well as avoiding things we don't need (as much as possible) and learning to manage stress, and getting proper exercise and I believe getting fresh air and healthy amounts of sun our bodies are just healthier and we're able to fight off sickness much more easily.

Some things to do to improve overall health is:

1. Make sure you are eating a healthy diet that contains whole foods like fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean and clean meats.

2. Avoid exposure to chemicals as much as possible. In today's world this is a lot easier said than done, but every little bit really does help. One tip is choosing organic whenever possible.

3. Supplementing your diet with vitamins and minerals is vital today due to the fact our soil has become deplete of nutrients due to farming practices. For example in the Bible God instructs His children to work the land for 6 years and let the land rest for the 7th. This allows the land to replenish nutrients in the soil. This is something conventional farmers today do not practice. The latest figures I've read is over 80% of the soil in our country is deplete of vital nutrients.

4. God provided us with herbs to use for medicine. Taking herbs like Garlic (can be taken daily) or Echinacea (echinacea should only be used during times of sickness or no more than 2 weeks at a time) or Elderberry (this is a great mild, herb to use with kids) helps to boost the immune system. Colloidal silver and taking a probiotic daily is also beneficial to the immune system.

5. Get out and get exercise and fresh air and sunshine as well as open your windows and let fresh air into your home. Sunlight provides vitamin D which is essential to good health. Getting out in the sun for about 15 minutes everyday (or whenever possible) is beneficial.

6. Drink plenty of pure water. Take your weight and divide by 2 and this number is how many ounces of water you should be getting each day.
