Thanks, Jay. Post #18.
Ya know there is a guy that had similar questions and wrote a GREAT book!
Michael Langford 's "The Direct Means to Eternal Bliss".
NOT to be confused with his Vol 1 - "The Most Direct Means to Eternal Bliss"- a different format, it is not my favorite.

Small excerpt to get an idea:
Instead of having some vague practice where one is told to pay attention to the "I AM" without ever being sure exactly what the "I AM" is .... p 46.

Another clip: After 27 years, the author (him, ha) was still not sure what "I AM" means in direct experience....
The author wanted an understanding that was so clear, there would be nothing vague remaining.

Gotta add: Reminder to all...this Forum asks us to quote only 2-3 sentences of others.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru
