So much I didn't know. This movie depicts some heartbreaking truths behind the takeover and persecution of the Tibetan people and the great lengths China goes through to cover it up. A side of China I have not seen. Who attempts to hold a monopoly on the faith of the Tibetan people as a means of manipulation. To the extent of kidnapping the next proclaimed Lama (a young boy) and his family, holding them prisoner at an undisclosed location in China and appointing a replacement of their choosing. On top of it all they sensor all information available to the Chinese people so they will never know these truths.
