You need to be grounded and also you need to do some visual meditative techniques to surround yourself in protective energy and light. This will help in blocking negative energies, thoughts and feelings. The easiest way for you to do this is get out in the fresh air with mother nature, kick off your shoes, relax and tune into the world around you, imagine roots growing from your feet going deep into the earth, holding you steady. This will help when you feel like your own thoughts and emotions are been buffeted about by others, remember your connection to the earth, you are anchored and safe.
As for visual meditation, have a look in the meditation section here or just google visual meditation techniques, there are loads of different types so find a protective one, one that feels right for you, that you feel comfortable doing and go from there.
