Pencil drawings
 

I come from a heritage of artists but yet I had no interest in learning until I realized that if I could draw, I could then sketch the images I receive in my mind.

I'm a long way from offering my drawings to clients, but I wanted to share with you some of them I've been working on.

You've done some nice portraits there, ML. When I was a teen and in my 20's I did good portraits, too, pencil and/or charcoal.

I always got comments from school mates etc.

A bit rusty though now.

It would be nice to know who these people are that you drew.
Are they related or friends or from photographs?

(I used to draw from magazines mostly.)

aww thank you. I'm practicing hard. HAIR is VERY hard! :D I'm great with eyes.. but hair.. um no. :D Noses kinda freak me out too. :) Thanks for the feedback!

The first one is a man I kept seeing around my mom's lawyer lol. Next time I see her I may take it in and ask if she knows him. lol

The other 2 - baby was a class I saw online and the Asian girl is the daughter of a friend (I drew from her photo).

Haha, I know what you mean about the noses! The eyes aren't that easy but they do speak to an artist imo, more than the rest. I get ticked off about the ears, lol.

Yep if you get the eye's right, then you've got it made.

Have you ever done a self-portrait? That would be nice.
