Great quotes! Thank you all!

My new book among many....

"Your Body Believes Every Word You Say"

~Barbara Levine

Know that the Spirit within you loves a made-up mind,
for this is where... fulfillment begins.

-John Randolph Price, from 'The Superbeings'...(that being, what
we are becoming...)
Highly recommend this book!

"You're a nice man but you're wasting your life" - J Krishnamurti

couldn't be said to be the most philosophical of k's quotes but then its never been quoted before id guess. iprobably because theres no lesson in it. but i suppose anything said by someone you suppose to be a master is quotable.

book sounds interesting. like a child would believe anything you say the body will too, i guess..

"It is not enlightenment we are concerned with but the understanding of our inner conflicts" - J Krishnamurti. Can't find the original but something like that. It's not a book seller..

Arcturus 24-06-2014 04:42 PM

I said what about my eyes?
“Keep them on the road”
I said what about my passion?
“Keep it burning”
I said what about my heart?
“Tell me what you hold inside it?”
I said pain and sorrow?
He said…
“Stay with it” .

“ You say, "HI! I know you on so many levels of my being" and anything other than coming together is ridiculous in your estimation. You don’t say "please come with me and don’t go away." You say "come with me." You don’t say, "I’m worried that you won’t stay." You say, "I’m glad we’re here." You don’t say "what took you so long." You say, "it was worth waiting for." You don’t say, "I’m not sure I’m up to speed with you," you say, "here we are, the universe has brought us together. We deserve each other."-Abraham

I
Have
Learned
So much from God
That I can no longer
Call
Myself
A Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim
A Buddhist, a Jew.

The Truth has shared so much of itself
With me
That I can no longer call myself
A man, a woman, an angel
Or even pure
Soul.

Love has
Befriended Hafiz so completely
It has turned to ash
And freed
Me

Of every concept and image
My mind has ever known.

~Hafiz

Trouble is, krishnamurti wasn't a master. He was just someone pretending to be a master.

Ooh, way to go to stir the pot, chief. I may have to alert Gem to this post, if he doesn't respond soon.

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.”

From "The Path", by Swami Kriyananda, direct devotee of Yogananda's,
passed last year. Page 300.

"The purpose, then, of spiritual work is not really to do things for God,
but rather to do the most important thing of all for ourselves:
to purify our own hearts."

"There is no psychological evolution: there is only the ending of sorrow,
of pain, anxiety, loneliness, despair and all that." ~Krishnamurti

Now this is one thing I like that he said, thank you vecta3.

It is a good one isn't Miss H...this vid has just been put on youtube and is along those lines "Is suffering needed to face the necessity of change?" --so many spiritual traditions assert it is so that it's become "tradition", as pointed out in the vid. We guard it preciously but obviously suffering is only destructive. it can never lead to enlightenment. it must end is all. its not a route or a means. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqIL...ature=youtu.be like there was ever something "to do" anyway?

Awareness or mindfulness is living in the present moment.

Here is a saying by Nisargadatta ....

A quiet mind is all you need. All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet. As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does self-awareness affect changes in the mind. In the light of calm and steady self-awareness, inner energies wake up and work miracles without any effort on your part.
