Does anyone else believe cats are our protectors???

I don't know,but I know that any time there is trouble around,my 3 cats scarper.:biggrin: l.

I dunno about protectors but they like to be worshipped, they were in ancient times and they've never forgotten it :D

My two cats have been extra with me lately. My brother and father just past I don’t know if they can feel my sadness or if they are always around me now protecting me from possible evil that maybe be trying to get in due to my vulnerability. They typically don’t get along but have been sleeping on each side of me. My male cat will lay right above my head on my pillow. This all could be my Imagination but also what a wonderful thought

Yes, they are very healing & caring animals. They got your back!

Many many years ago, I remember we brought home our first cat, he went straight into hiding, and stayed hidden ALL day every day, so I gave up hope that we would bond. One day I came home severally depressed from work ( I had a bad day) I got in fetal position on the couch for a nap, and out of nowhere the cat comes out of hiding and jumps on my hip and lays there side to side with me. Ill never forget it, its like he found duty/job in comforting & healing me. Loved cats ever since. :hug:

Libra - Sounds like your cats are sensing your emotions. Pets developed a very keen sense of how its owners are feeling often even more so than other people.

They protect your home from mice, possums, and other rodents. Maybe a lion or tiger would protect your home from other intruders but that would be putting your own protection at great risk too. :bom:

It is believed in my region, that cats protect us from evil influences, coming from relatives and people considered to be good friends. Such energy attacks, coming from people who you trust, are the most mean and cruel attacks one can receive.

My family just lost one of our cats. He fought for us, he got the whole hatred and envy on himself, he sacrificed his life for us. It happened just after I found and neutralised a black magic in our home. Black magic is broadly used here, where I live, so cats and dogs often lose their lives in such "magic wars".

Any animal can be a protector. Even wild ones.

When I go to my 'happy place' (my calm place) I imagine tigers being my protectors. I wish that were possible! Pets can definitely be protectors though.
