and to rest our feet in the cool stream. |
Beautiful John... I love this time of year when the woodlands are shortly to be full of bluebells... ( And my garden is awash with them too , in the wild un-tamed borders)....
|
The first one is my attempt to unmask the Bluebells in a Forest.
I was thinking of you when I did this one. |

...How lovely . .. How lovely to be thought of I wonder how many people in everyday life , on the forum, or even compete strangers never realise how much they are thought about.... |
That is so true my neighbour a retired Minister did a painting for me in a forest setting full of wild flowers especially Bluebells as he knows they are my favourites

Two people who like bluebells.... there must be more?

......... and sometimes a plunge will do the 'trick'. |

.... The bluebells are even more lovely ..... My garden will be full of them soon. They are just starting to come out ...... ...... My cherry blossom is in full bloom.... |
I love in the first painting the shadows that the trees make...blue.

Nice one Big John
I'm seeing lots of fat Robbins around here especially as I dig up dandelions they're opportunists, waiting to get at the worms from my holes I love their big orange bellies and happy sunrise music |
As a boy..... I explored. One of the places I explored was the creek on the other side of the road where we lived. I had many adventures there but even today, I still remember this waterfalls...... |
Beautiful looks so serene and peaceful

That land was so peaceful in many ways. If a person stood still and listened very carefully, they might hear the water flowing below them. Unfortunately, I knew no other but my self who experienced that.
On our property, just south of where our house was, was a clearing that in the distant past, the 'local' Indians would sit up a 'village' there which they would stay at each and every year. Further down the stream, that water would flow into a 'wilderness'. As far as I know, that area, almost nobody had traversed. In that 'wilderness', that water would all pour into a sinkhole in the creek's water bed. The sinkhole, a huge underground cave, was something I did not venture to explore. It was something I stayed away from. People did not realize all of the creek's water got gobbled up by that cave because other side streams would flow into that creek's bed further downstream and fill 'her up' so people never knew what actually was happening. |

Thanks Uma....... lately, everything seems to be a message within a message and in some cases, several levels more in depth. |

Re big john
Just decided to check out this Art section as I’m an artist as well and was pleasantly surprised at some of the art that I have seen here.
Big John your nature scenes are fabulous! I haven’t done one of them in years as I’m mostly a portrait artist, but you have greatly inspired me so thanks for that! Someone mentioned Blue bells. Wow, haven’t thought about them in years. I used to go to places in the UK when I was a kid and they grew wild everywhere. Just loved them and still do. So thanks for the lovely memories. |
