Where u wake up when you die

3. The First Mansion World
47:3.1 (532.7) On the mansion worlds the resurrected mortal survivors resume their lives just where they left off when overtaken by death. When you go from Urantia to the first mansion world, you will notice considerable change, but if you had come from a more normal and progressive sphere of time, you would hardly notice the difference except for the fact that you were in possession of a different body; the tabernacle of flesh and blood has been left behind on the world of nativity.

The Urantia Book. Paper 47

iamthat 09-04-2021 12:27 AM

For those not familiar with The Urantia Book, it was first published in 1955. It is about 2,000 pages, covering the nature of the superuniverses and our local universe, the history of Urantia (our planet Earth), the role of the angels and rebel angels over the past 500,000 years, and the life of Jesus. It is quite dense, but also fairly readable.

An easier read is the series of books by Timothy Wyllie regarding his own life from the perspective of a rebel angel, which also includes a lot of information from The Urantia Book. I found these books both interesting and entertaining. Some of it may seem far-fetched, and yet it all makes a certain sense.

Who knows!

Peace

hazada guess 09-04-2021 06:51 AM

Oh Urantia is Earth. In that case,it does make some sense. Thanks iamthat.

Native spirit 09-04-2021 09:04 AM

Well if Iamthat had'nt put that down i would'nt have had a clue what it was about

Where do we wake up when we die? We'll only know for certain after we've passed over but teachers and guides have told us for many decades what can be expected.

If you're from a generation which heeds the words and ideas of mortals then you may read or hear different accounts based on where their details originated.

caveat emptor

Bill1673 10-04-2021 03:42 AM

Iamthat: Thanks for the book recommendation. I'm going to have to check it out.

GlitterRose 10-04-2021 04:56 PM

Urantia gets a lot of heat because it seems pro-eugenics.

There are passages that don't seem very enlightened, regarding race, either.

Just FYI.

I read the Urantia Book many years ago and the sections about Jesus were interesting. As for the cosmological super-universes, I don't have any comments to share since, like Buddha's Noble Silence on metaphysics, I tend not to get into such discussions.

In any case, I have since shifted my attention to PRACTICE and have not looked at that book in years though I think that I still have it.

A friend told me once,... you wake up where ever you believe you will wake up... I love this idea! :D so, in the afterlife, if you want to find me, I will either be in the forest hiking or at the diner having a piece of pie! But, of course,... I won’t know if this is true until then.

 maybe I will be like a “Pop Shop” bottle, rinse, refill and reuse.

Wouldn’t it be cool if when I came back my name was Anala!?!

I woke up finding myself in this physical world and things have consistently
changed.
The one thing that has been a constant is a desire for Love in it's purest form.

My hopes is that it will be similar except without the physical aspects. Which I call the Spirit world.Which I also imagine would be a place of learning, while still desiring this Pure Love.

Native spirit 11-04-2021 08:33 PM

I would have to agree with that Imthatim

How would you define "Pure Love"? The word "love" is often used very casually.

I don't believe I can define it.
Though I have experienced a drop of Pure Love that
is beyond what has been available to me in this physical world.
I instinctively knew it as where I came from and where I will return.

So my beliefs about Pure Love are:
What I experienced was still limited and that there is more of this Pure Love yet to be unveiled.
I can not say what the Purest form of this Love is.My mind and vocabulary does not do it justice.
I also believe that it is the "Force" that drives Life in a underlying core energy level.
The Force of Life to Live breaking through the force of death.
Many of the Love religions and practices point to it and attempt to describe it.
I do love the way Rumi writes about it.He gets to the heart of the matter.

I can say when Pure Love essence is present, it seems I am not.
It's Unity without even knowing what Unity is,
as when the raindrop falls into the ocean, as if it always WAS the ocean.
It's the Spring sun rays warming the face.
Warmth infilling your Being if only for a Breath.
There are so many limited ways I could write about Pure Love.
I know nothing.Except it IS and it resides in us All and in All to some degree.
Even the most hideous person ever encountered is only acting out of their Pure Love desires being unmet.
I love the term Great Mystery, that which is yet to be discovered or unveiled and cannot be fully Known in the physical.
Can I ever end learning of Pure Love, I don't know but I think not.
I once read the phrase "Infinite Love and Power" and the word Infinite in conjunction with Love and Power blew my mind and world wide open.
I have not even scratched Pure Love with my words.
It is so Glorious and Alive that one needs to experience IT, to do the dance.

ImthatIm....you know Still_Waters just tricked you...wanting to drink in words
spoken about Pure Love...and probably for all of us to read them, too.

For you old souls out there, do you think so many of you are here to help those of the pandemic cross over?

And us newbies are here to learn and step-up into your big, big shoes?

Thank you Ananla.
It is only a testament to the Spirit and people that have blessed my
Life with little pieces of themselves that we all share in.

Native spirit 13-04-2021 10:22 AM

@Anala i think we can all play a part in helping people whether it is to cross over through the pandemic or otherwise
I am an old soul but i wont be back i walk my final path.that is a good thing in my eyes , i dont think i could put up with another lifetime.
The amount of people i have helped to get to where they needed to be in work etc is huge,
Where are they now i have no idea i used to hear from them all the time as soon as they reached their goal i heard no more,
that is just another example of helping.

Small World.

The Urantia people have a commune not too far from where I live. They seem like real nice people. They used to reside in Sedona.

ImthatIm 14-04-2021 10:37 AM

Sure we can wait for physical death to wake, or we can read some Rumi.

In truth everything and everyone
Is a shadow of the Beloved,
And our seeking is His seeking
And our words are His words...
We search for Him here and there,
...while looking right at Him.
Sitting by His side, we ask:
'O Beloved, where is the Beloved?'
Rumi

There are indeed various "dying before physical death" practices and, as you duly noted, we can either wait for physical death to wake ... or we can get guidance from masters like Rumi regarding how to awaken NOW in this lifetime.

lostsoul13 16-04-2021 08:23 PM

I hope somewhere else when I wake up when I die.. in paradise of some sort— if I have enough imagination left!

Busby 24-04-2021 11:18 AM

When we die, be it human, or any other concious being, we go immediately home to that place where we went last night when we dropped off to sleep and from which we came when we were created.
Apart from this centre of creation there is and never has been anything else.

Elfin 24-04-2021 11:25 AM

We wake up when we die... Quote from my boy when he was 6..

You don't have to hide your light under a bushel

You are older than you might think.

PureEvil760 26-04-2021 12:27 AM

This is true, that nothing really changes except you don't have a body. If you're not in heaven before death you won't be after, but if you were in heaven before death you wouldn't die. Some astral projectors can see and interact with the dead people in purgatory, they live in fabricated worlds that they think are real for God knows how long, the religious heavens exist there, formed from collaborative human beliefs. However I do believe there is an angel that offers a fast track to heaven when you die and if you refuse she comes back a week later, and if you refuse again you're on your own archangel Azrael.

I don't know if you have seen that movie about the after life (a comedy) named "Defending Your Life" but the hero gets handed like 9 pies! You can eat all you want in the afterlife according to that movie,
