The moonleap cushion

Hi everyone, happy new year!

I just wanted to mention the Moonleap cushion, because it has made sitting in meditation much more comfortable for me. I'm not linked to them in any way but I wanted to share the information so that it might benefit other people (I think that being less distracted by pain in the legs is a good thing, though I expect that not everyone will agree that it matters). Today I had a session that was maybe my most comfortable one ever, after an hour, my legs actually felt really good. I'm sure that the cushion played a big part in that.

In case you are curious, I will add some details. First of all, I sit on top of a folded massage table, so it's like sitting on a comfortable mat. This small detail matters because the surface bends very slightly towards the center, so it's not like sitting on a completely flat surface. Second, I sit either in half lotus or in burmese, and after a decade and a half (which included many hours of yoga), this has finally become comfortable for me (so if yoga practice is challenging, keep going, it will pay off at some point). The cushion works well in "normal" cross-legged position (I tried it briefly) but to be really comfortable I think half lotus or burmese is better.

They sell a normal and a big cushion. It's more expensive than other cushions but the quality seems really high and I'd say in terms of comfort per hour it's a good investment. My height is one cm below the max height for which the normal cushion is recommended. When in doubt they advise to buy the bigger cushion. I *was* doubting, but still bought the normal one, and like I said, it works great for me.
