An idea for a short story...
 

It's a western. A cowboy is really racist toward natives, but then goes on a vision quest and changes completely.

I just can't think of how to get him there, taking the vision quest.

Oh phew I was worried you were saying it's been done.

Looks like an interesting show, I've never given it a look see, but I do love me some martial arts movies and TV so it's up my ally.

One of my favorite shows growing up and full of wisdom.

You maybe able to get some ideas and or some realizations for your story; : )

Sounds cool. How about a woman he fancies calms him or even leaders extending food and shelter during a troubling time. Both could lead to them encouraging a vision quest.

It is 1881 and a cowboy delivers some beef to Fort Apache.


As he was there that night, a medicine man/chief was performing outside the fort what some would later claim was the first ghost dance. The medicine man/chief's name is Nakaidoklinni. He was from Cibique.

As the medicine man/chief talked, the cowboy saw the huge silver medal around his neck. After asking others about it, it turned out to be a Peace Metal that President Grant gave him when he was a teenager.

Later, the next day, Nakaidoklinni went back to Cibique.

That day, the cowboy spoke to the Apache Indians Scouts about what happened that night. The Scouts invited him to a special meeting they were having. At the meeting, special medicine was given out and each person took a spot that was some distance from everybody else. At first, nothing happened. But then, the medicine started to take effect.

The journey began..............
