Can reincarnation be real

People's looks determine their personality. So if we incarnate we are supposed to go to a very similar body. But this would be difficult. How can it be. And looks and personality is determined by genes. So will we have the same genes. It would be much better if when we die we don't come back or even go to heaven. Being nonexistent is better, more peaceful.

You asked questions but then went on to state your position in the last sentence....
Is it genuine discussion you're inviting or are you just being dismissive of a subject you appear not to understand anyway?

Trying to understand how it can possibly be. Normally I wouldn't beieve it at all, but I heard people lose 20 grams when they die, and soul is in the aura, not in the brain. Such things can be checked scientifically, but that science can be hidden from us. So not sure who to trust. I show counterevidence based on experience (or other science), but can't prove existence or nonexistence of it. I expect people to show their evidences. I don't think any of us can prove it, but maybe it can be proven scientifically if real (for example by watching where aura energy goes).

I heard king of logic:
en.wikipedia .org/wiki/Kurt_G%C3%B6del
was thinking about soul transfer in his late life.

Maybe artificial soul transfer is possible (rumors),
and natural one is not.

People of different Sexual Temperament is another evidence for reincarnation, as they move from the female form to the male body and back.

Here is the thread about reincarnating between male and female forms:

I don't believe in it myself. There's a distorted history connected to this subject, and the base idea is that reincarnation looked nothing like what we see today in the beginning of the texts written. According to the late Professor Leopold Fischer:

In its present form, the way people talk about it today, it is quite
old, but it's not as old as people hope it would be. You have only a vestigial or marginal mention of something like transmigration in the older sections of the Veda. There is the first complete mention, though very brief, in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, which is quite old. But the real assumptions having to do with reincarnation come in the Puranic age, at the time that the Puranas were composed, and then of course, through Buddhism. So you might say that it reached a state of common acceptance, I would think, around 300 B.C., but not earlier. So it is old, but in its highly articulated form it is not so old — and the way it's talked about now, that's recent; that's "Theosophical Society."

.................

I haven't been here long enough to be able to post links, but, Google this:
No Reincarnation, No Moksha, No Mukti in the Vedas.

The original page is gone and this seems to be either someone's "save" or the person just got a new website.

So, if people, and especially children it seems, have memories of a prior life - where would THAT come from? Simply put - welcome to the paranormal.

Examples of reincarnation between male and female forms:

Garrett P. Serviss (Mar 24, 1851-May 25, 1929) and Laura Dern (b. Feb 10, 1967)

Aleksandr Vasilevsky (Sep 30, 1895 - Dec 05, 1977) and Christie Abbott (b. May 16, 1982)

I can not comment on the above.
None of it made any sense to me, sorry, and I mean no offense.

Why not read some books by Rob Schwartz or Dr. Brian Weiss or P.M.H. At water...it would
broaden your understanding of the subject...I mean, more than here.
(I had to separate PMH's last name, but it is one word.)

And to support Native I know, saw, experienced clearly just, just 3-4 of my last lives...too many to rem.
I can tell you whole scenes...and the lessons carried over into this life I didn't learn.

PS I see no reason why you need to believe in reincarnation, btw..it's like anything ...Seeing is believing.

This seems to be very muddled thinking.

Personality is determined by more than looks. Yes, there is evidence that an attractive person is likely to be more popular and have more success in life, because unfortunately people are often judged on their appearance. But popularity and success are not personality.

And it is not the personality which incarnates, so why would they need to go to a similar body? Appearances would vary considerably with each incarnation. Someone may experience a good-looking body in one life and then a rather less good-looking body in the next life, thus giving a very different learning experience.

While looks may be determined by the genes inherited from the parents, I question whether personality is determined by genes. Scientists may claim that this is so, but they tend to regard the entire human being just in physical terms. Personality is a mixture of many things, including our early experiences and the subtle tendencies we have brought with us from previous lives.

Peace

Agreed totally. In terms of reincarnation - this thread's title - such aspects are irrelevant.
