Quotes on Awareness\Mindfulness...
All of spirituality is contained in that one word: Awareness. — Mata Amritanandamayi
Proceed on life’s journey with awareness. — Mata Amritanandamayi
If I were to summarize it ( Guruma's teachings) into one thing, it would be awareness. How to develop that awareness-insight. I am not referring to awareness at the level of the mind as seen in mountaineers or astronauts. A slip in awareness and the mountaineer can be buried alive under snow or the astronaut blasted away from his ship. But that awareness does not transform them or cause them to disassociate from the mind and its functions. To be an observer is to be totally neutral and to be a witness. And somewhere, I would add, the awareness of who I am, or what the truth is.-- Anandamurti Gurumaa
How to do meditation, many people ask me. Don't do anything, to just go into thoughtless awareness. Try to go to the thoughtless awareness. If you can get into that condition of thoughtless awareness you've done your job, because that's the point where you are with the truth, with the reality, with the joy, with everything that is so fundamental.-- Nirmala Devi
When you are in thoughtless awareness, you must know that you are in the kingdom of God and His people, His arrangements, His consciousness, is going to look after you. -- Nirmala Devi
You can become fully aware only when you are living in the moment.
- Barry Long
The moment is your only duty. Your duty at any time in your life is to do what you have to do from moment to moment. - Barry Long
There is nothing we need to do or achieve, beyond the fullness of the present moment. - Metta Zetty
When the robot mind is mastered, undisciplined thinking ceases and is replaced by awareness. Awareness can know love. You can only experience the new when you are aware, when you are without thought. - Barry Long
When the heart is empty of the things of the mind, and the mind is empty of thought, then is there Love. That which is empty is inexhaustible. - Jiddu Krishnamurti
The consciousness in you and the consciousness in me, apparently two, really one, seek unity and that is love. - Nisargadatta Maharaj
Living in the wilderness,
staying peaceful, remaining chaste,
eating just one meal a day:
why are their faces
so bright & serene?
They don't sorrow over the past,
don't long for the future.
They survive on the present.
That's why their faces
are bright & serene.
From longing for the future,
from sorrowing over the past,
fools wither away
like a green reed cut down.
Mindfulness is the true virtue. - Buddha
Impermanent are all created things;Strive on with awareness. - Buddha

Deepen and broaden your awareness of yourself and all the blessings will flow. You need not seek anything, all will come to you most naturally and effortlessly.- Nisargadatta Maharaj
A quiet mind is all you need. All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet. As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does self-awareness affect changes in the mind. In the light of calm and steady self-awareness, inner energies wake up and work miracles without any effort on your part.- Nisargadatta Maharaj
Awareness is who we are and forgetting that leads to suffering. -Vicki Woodyard
Being unconscious means you’re lost in thought, in the pictures and stories your mind is producing. You have entered the made-up content of your mind and are occupying it as if it were reality itself. Your ego is invested in this content as being real and important, and very likely as a result you are experiencing some kind of emotion (stirred up by the thinking). You have forgotten that all of it is the product of your mind (even if its content appears to be true or important). As a result, you are missing actual reality, what’s happening in the now — including that you are inventing the thoughts. - JAN FRASIER
Your true nature is awareness and not what your mind is producing. - Burt Harding
In Zen, it is said right view is no view.
This 'view' thing means taking a situation, filtering it through one's mind and putting a personal spin on it. In other words, make stuff up. Then you can't see what is actually going on -- only a limited interpretation of it. The two will inevitably clash and cause suffering.
Zen is to perceive everything as it is, sans adding or subtracting. No expectations and no disagreements with others.
Suffering will disappear.
Whatever worldly joy there is arises from wishing for others' happiness.
Whatever worldly suffering there is arises from wishing for your own happiness.
Shantideva - A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life
There is only one reality, but there are many ways that reality can be interpreted. ~ B.K.S. Iyengar
Awareness means grasping life just the way it is, without contamination by mental projections. ~ Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev
There is so much filtering going on that sometimes you won’t see things that are there. You only have to look at a paranoid person who’s always feeling threatened by something that isn’t there, who’s constantly interpreting reality in terms of certain experiences of the past or certain conditioning that he or she has had. ~ Anthony de Mello
Most people do not see their beliefs. Instead, their beliefs tell them what they see. This is the simple difference between clarity and confusion. – Matthew Kahn
The moment a person forms a theory, his imagination sees in every object only the traits which favor that theory. ~ Thomas Jefferson
It was incredible to me that members of one community could kill members of another not for anything personal that they did but simply based on their identity. ~ Amartya Sen
Ego is conditioned state of mind where the reality is forgotten. Wisdom is freedom of consciousness; here the truth is realised. ~ Maharshi Vedathiri
Pay attention to your experience and you will discover that emotion follows thought and belief. Awareness precedes all. ~ Metta Zetty
The dissolution of belief in being a seeker is via naked seeing, where the energy supporting belief is removed naturally or overthrown by the clarity of naked seeing. Awareness is self-aware (without an entity) and naked awareness is non conceptual. ~ Gilbert Schultz
