Why do I sometimes feel/hear my living father's presence during sleep paralysis?
 

I've had sleep paralysis for over a decade. As I got used to it and have grown it became less scary and usually is positive. I usually roll with it and use it to lucid dream. One day while I was getting it I heard a whole bunch of voices and even heard one saying "she can hear us?" followed by several voices trying to get in a word before I entered my dream. The voices weren't distinct but I just knew who they were. Almost all were people who have passed, some I believe we're guides. However I felt one was my dad's. However he is alive, we're still in contact and I see him fairly regularly. I also felt his presence a few nights ago during a sp episode. I never had this happen before and am getting worried it's a bad sign since he does have heart problems and is in his 60s. Should I be worried or is this normal?

I think you two are connected and in dreams, especially as a dad, he is very muich connected to you. I am the same as a mother. He can tell if you are in danger and so he comes, I do the same. If we have something mentally or physically that weakens us in some way I think that is too something that bring us more spirituality even if our egos are not aware of this process. Make it easier for him to connect. He can still live a long time with his heart condition but he will remain closer to the spiritual realm, I guess that is what I am trying to say/write. He is a caring dad in real life, no? Then you bet he is a lion in his sleep if he feels you are in danger. Feelings get more strong in the dreams, in the astral, is that way with me anyways. Time and space don't matter. I have felt in my dreams before when someone or several are trying to contact a child in the sleep, you know something's up and later even if you don't say anything about it (have gone into the room to check on the child etc) the child will tell you on it's own what has happened.

It is either your subconscious mind bringing this to you because, you know, there is very strong bond between parents and children and so when you have sleep paralysis, this is quite scary unless you learn to see beyond the fear, your mind brings your father as an attempt to calm you. It could be much more, your father visiting you without even knowing, this can only stand as long you are sure it is the presence of your father, it's a knowing, you know 100% it's him.
