Why can't there be male-female equality in ALL religions?
It should be obvious that there is NOT complete male-female equality in many religions particularly at the highest levels.
My position is that there should be complete male-female equality at every level. Feel free to share your thoughts on this subject. |
good question.
I suspect the answer is indirectly 'buried' as to the same reason why women, for the most part, can not identify with Victoria Woodhull as the first woman to run for US President. |
Why can't there be? Because as you can see around the world
mostly stupidity reigns. |

......... and who allows stupid to reign?

(And fear is the reason stupidity or even evil can reign... in governments and org religions.) Imo. |
well at least for me, being spiritually 'female'... I wanted to follow my 'spiritual husband' around into winning, oneupmanship, getting ahead, whatever you want to call it this week. So if you succeeded in talking me into acting like a male some more, so that I could be treated like a male some more and thus gain 'equality' with males some more, I would eventually gravitate to wanting to take it one step further, wanting to be the one in charge. Because that is one of the most compelling things males 'do'.
I've seen things that make me think I'm not the only one in this boat, either. So much for equality at that point... we'd have the same situation we have now but with different people at the helm... It would look different yet would still be the same. personally I'm grateful for the fact God saw fit to push people like me down instead of letting us gain any sense of 'control'. As I no longer see either equality or being ahead as good choices for me but would have blithely ignored that fact but for the grace of god.:hug2: |

Abrahamic Religions are based on their 'Holy Books' written by Scribes who were raised in Male Dominated Societies, hence their holy books are then used to enforce sexism & discrimination. Jesus obviously was able to see 'all' as being equal in Gods Eyes but not everyone could break the habits of a lifetime. Until the cause is seen in a different light the effect will remain the same.... |

Fortunately, people are ... finally ... starting to question the inequality dogmas since they don't make sense. |

Well put, sky ! The cultural bias of the scribes does indeed seem to have influenced their perception of the "Word of God". |
