The bible is ancient, with outdated attitudes and thinking?

I get shocked when people still talk of blasphemy, and that blasphemers should be punished! :icon_eek: I don't think so at all! I'm amazed the word 'blasphemer' is even still used!:icon_eek:

Isn't it time we acknowledged the bible is ancient? Shouldn't we take whats written in the bible more loosely nowadays?

Yes of course we should, its just a book of tales, some meaningful some not, its had its time and now its time to move on to better things, things of a much higher Consciousness, these can only be found within your own being.

Why not take away what are considered the final court of appeal on all doctrinal and moral issues? Why not redefine and loosen up the laws of gov't a bit, after all there's a battle now to what even constitutes marriage, what's next redefining what a man or woman is for transsexuals?

What makes you think that I am opposing it, I'm on your side. To the EXTREME

Internal Queries 12-04-2011 04:06 AM

oooh! so that stuff about redefining gender for the sake of transexuals was a serious proposal?

color me a faint tint of surprise.

Shim 12-04-2011 04:08 AM

Well why not, isn't honor no more than lip service in the law?

The Bible is finished, we now need a new testament, not one written by man but one that is written on every heart, this testament only has one law, this testament only has one word, that word is Love, but still we must go beyond even this word, we must become this word, then and only then can we say with all honesty, that we are the Word made flesh.:hug3:

Well should I become a sign post and point the way to psychoslice, he is the word made flesh even though the words come out of context from the Bible. Let's all bow down to ourselves and proclaim the truth of God and that we are saved. Let us always be loving, no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. :hug3:

As long as it all true Love, not worldly love then that's all you need, nothing else, no bible, for that will only get in your way, it will drag you down to a past mud pit.
