Can We Choose Oblivion, rather than Continue Life on the oth
Can We Choose Oblivion, rather than Continued Life on other Planes ?
This it the train of thought on this question from Edgar Cayce : “Life is eternal. It is in Him, and merely to change through God’s other door (Physical death) as only changed toe out-look . But, as we prepare the self for the vistas of the various consciousnesses upon the stages of development, we become a part that -if out pathway is being led alright.” What if one does not “walk with God” what does that mean to that person ? Or do we see God as just the imagery used for “Universal All” or “Light” ext ? What if our Soul has run its course ? There is nothing more to learn ? ( If that be possible) Lynn |
Thats interesting........ If we had a choice to come here, would you want to?

I found that quote here, as an answer to a 52 years old woman asking: Must I go on living?
I believe that when you die, it is like waking up from sleep / dream. You aren't exactly the same one as you were in your dream, but not much more either; a little more lucid. You have another level of existence, with other thoughts and perspective, in a different context. Cayce, in trance, didn't quite answer that woman's question, although he was very religious, and suicide is a sin (I think). We can't imagine what a "soul" thinks, and as far as I know all souls are on an eternal quest for infinite evolvement. There is never a point where there's nothing more to learn, and any temporary disorientation is straighten up by more evolved guides. |
A very good reply!!!
That PDF is good, thank you!! |
There is only one condition/state of existence/conscious reality - we call it NOW.
It's all there is. 'Oblivion' is not a choice as it doesn't exist. |

Love the question and hope to hear more thoughts from the spirit side. When you opened your eyes here you did not know what to expect you think you do now. These are the words I heard. My own experience confirmed this long ago and still does. When mind syncs with consciousness available do we resist. Does spirit communicate? The journey will clarify imo. Many parts of journey I do not like. I think many of our thought are a mix of both spiritual and physical and that our perspective. Why aren't there any people like Cayce any longer. Has what he said before even been expanded even more. I think people wanting spiritual answers should go to spirit but realized it is not your perspective or about the you. I do not know why we don't. Hope to hear more. |

Same like when I had anesthesia in the Operating room....as a kid....tonsils and appendectomy at 12. |
Quote:
It seems the same to me as "knowing" we slept like a log. Same for anesthesia and I've been under for torn cartilage, deviated septum and fractured wrist. It's just more apparent in the more controlled environment of meditation from fully awake to deep meditation to fully awake. It's oblivion to mind but absolute serenity to something else. |
QUOTE 6 EXCERPT:
Quote:
I agree with you that "people wanting spiritual answers should go to Spirit" and, by Spirit, I am not necessarily referring to disincarnate entities. I go to the Spirit through meditation and also through incarnate beings who have a deeper understanding of the Reality than I may have. This is a great question and I am interested in hearing more as this is a subject that I have investigated as best as possible. |
Meaning no disrespect ... To me sitting in meditation, in oblivion, is like watching tv without tuning into a broadcast. Meditation is one of the possible tools to turn inwards, and tap into the available knowledge and guidance, understand what you are, evolve.
Looking for knowledge and guidance from other people, gurus, and dogmas adds distortions you can't sift out. It is okay in the beginning, or if you just use them as conduits and not for what they claim. |
