I got different readings using different decks for the same question

Are you supposed to get different readings using different decks for the same question?

Nothing’s set in stone, it’s all potentials within the whole.

Depends. Could be that another deck highlights more or a different aspect or angle of it.
But when you're overasking because you're not satisfied with the initial answer you get readings that are all over the place. Because you're not trusting the cards, nor yourself. Kind of Spirit -or your HS'- way to let you know you have to stop that.
Cards don't lie. Stick to that rule of thumb, it will get you a long way.
It means that even if you don't understand a card it is still telling you something. You can then pull 1-3 clarifier cards (more will only be confusing, in essence 1 would be best).
If you still don't get it leave it for a few days.
Don't overask.

If it's not a matter of overasking... you can ask the same question using different decks, but then seek for the shared message, the red line, that runs through the cards. And don't go overboard with the number of different decks.

I'm with Fairycrystal - there is either an over asking element here, alternatively you're getting the same message, however you're interpreting it differently - as FC says re: the red thread, there will always be a nuanced way that the messages correlate. If they do not then it's either over asking or spirit can not give you the answer right now, which means you need to wait as FC says. Also check did you ask exactly the same question in both the readings as this can also bring through different messages. Spirit is very literal...
