Got Massage and Heart was hurt HELP!

I got a massage a while back and the lady who did it hurt my heart. I had to stop her. It was very odd. She was an old lady and I feel she was a bad person and wanted to hurt me it felt. She did this thing around my heart area on my back and it messed me up. She told me my heart was bad and should have it checked out. My heart did not hurt until after she massaged me! Like she was a witch or something with some black magic. It was odd and my heart still hurts to this day. Do you guys know a way to hurt someones heart when you give a massage. She was like grabbing my heart from my back while I laid down. I am a little over weight and in my late 30s so I understand that. She messed me up like she had a special power or something. If you know anything let me know. Thanks You!!!

When I was overweight, I sometimes felt pain in my heart region, so I went to a cardiologist for a control.

Although my blood pressure was a little high, overall my heart was healthy. The doctor told me that I probably feel muscular pains, caused by my lack of fitness.

After I dropped to a normal weight (through calorie restriction, and moderate exercise), my blood pressure dropped to normal, and never felt those pains again.

It is possible that the woman did a normal massage on you, and that your pains are your body's message to you that it needs more care from your part.

If you worry, why don't you go to a cardiologist for a check up?

Thank you I am working on my weight. Hopefully with some exercise and good eating habits everything will be ok!

Good luck!

I recommend to anybody interested in healthy weight-loss the following two sources I used myself:
"8 minutes in the morning" by Jorge Cruise

"The Hacker's Diet - How to lose weight and hair through stress and poor nutrition" by John Walker

Maybe she did have some abilities. She may have shifted the flow of energy in you. Perhaps even in a potentially positive way. But if there are blocks anywhere, that new flow of energy can be painful in one way or another.
This is a bit like....if you lie on your arm too long it goes numb. Then when the blood starts to flow back it really feels bad!

I agree with what she said about getting your heart checked (i.e. at the doctor's)
That can't do any harm, especially as you have been feeling pain there since the massage.

But your gut feeling about this woman can't be ignored. You didn't like her, and may have a reason. She may be good at her work...who knows? But you two certainly didn't "gel" energetically, and obviously there was no trust.
I think it is so important if going for any healing work, to feel a positive neutral to positive feeling about the person. However, you can't always know until the process is already happening, when you book a treatment.

It's likely that because of that dissonance, that the massage had a negative effect.

Make sure you have no physical problem, but alongside that you can try to focus on loving and giving thoughts, listen to sweet music, eat healthy light foods, take gentle outside exercise. Focus on the beauty of Nature. If you are able -create something which brings joy to do ....even if it's just a coloured doodle, or writing a poem.

Find something in your "Heart" that you truly love and cherish -whomever, or whatever that is, and give it space in your Heart and mind every day.
Try not to dwell on the negative massage experience. Let it go. Nurture your "Heart".

I have done massage for decades of my life, never hurt my heart.

On weight loss, stop carbs (refined types) and basically eliminate White Foods, the weight will come off.

Ok so my wife is a specialty massage therapist for 10yrs now she works on post rehab and injured people of all kinds and she's the only LMT that does the kind of work that she does in the city we live in as far as I can tell

And I have been a personal trainer for over 15yrs utilizing in post rehab and structural imbalance.

My guess would be that she loosened muscles in your back and this is a typical thing massage therapist do and I don't know why because they need to focus on the anterior part of the body which would be the front because it is going to be tighter than the back side or posterior side that's just how we are in this society due to modern technology and lifestyle

So your PEC muscles are probably way to tight and so when she worked on your back your PECs pulled your upper ribs out my guess would be ribs 1 2 and 3 and they have pinched one of the nerves going to your heart causing heart pain and maybe even palpitations

Going to the chiropractor should fix the issue however the chiropractic adjustment won't last you very long so long as the imbalance remains in your body you need to loosen your pecs and your abdominals in order to balance your body back out so that this doesn't happen again.

This is just a vague guess so don't take it as the word of god or anything.

Sorry, but you're saying the chest is tighter than the upper back muscles, like between the shoulder blades
and along the spine on most people?
We could take a survey on that one.

I wonder why an LMT would purposely hurt someone....she was older - so she would have been put out of business.
(Btw, I hurt for 2 solid YEARS from one Chiro adjustment...in the heart area in my back...one proper physical therapy
technique and it was gone finally. Not to say I don't love Chiropractic.)

No not exactly what I mean is the chest is tight as in the muscles are shortened and or locked up which can was your back to be tight because I'm sure you think it's your upper back that's the reason that your upper back hurts but it's 99% of the time not the problem and 99% of the time that's just the weakest groups of muscle and so being the weakest they are the ones that gave out first and in doing so they usually become over stretched and when this happens they then get stiff and sore

This society is a hunched over keyboard world and so because we live are lives hunched forward humped back we are increasing our anterior tilt and weakening our posterior chain while the anterior chain is literally shortening due to lack of mobility all the posterior chain is lengthening due to over mobility and this is when you get back pain

Now with some deep tissue massage and trigger point on the anterior delts and pectoral muscles as well as subscapularis ribs and the entire stomach my least enjoyable part of the body to have worked on it's terrible for me at least but I digress and then a good consistent stretching program for stretching the anterior portion of your body aka the front this will make chiropractic visits last much longer and make your back feel a lot better and get rid of headaches too if you're prone to headaches that tends to help.
