White Light for Protection: Pros and Cons
 

I've always thought of white light as being the primary choice for protection, but I was reading an article where the clairvoyant author claimed that using white light for protection simply makes you look like a lightbulb and can drawn negative energies towards you.

My first thought was that this person is clearly in dispute with the crowd, as nearly every spiritual person/book I have come across seems to view the white light as being 'sacrosanct'

However, logically, white light would be very noticeable.

Are there two sides to this idea of white light offering protection? Are there any negatives of using white light to build up protection in the aura?

White light wouldn't be noticeable at all to negative energies because they're too low vibration to even see it. I would argue the opposite and say that white light won't work in the first place if your vibration isn't high enough to support its frequency.

I've heard that. I was taught to use golden light and that's what I do. I really do not know that white light would cause any harm though.

For those who believe in negative energies, any color will do. It's about your own mindset, your own belief. If you feel pink or cobalt blue or green or red is what you need, then go for it. There simply isn't one right way to do it.

I don't believe in negative energies or spirits or whatever. But I've had friends whose belief systems include such things and while white was probably the most common, other colors of "protection" were also used. It was very individual.

Point is, go with what works for you.

May I offer a memory of mine...I was a medium's helper.
He said when he opens to spirits coming thru it is like a beacon or pole
of light that goes up from him ( you've seen those for clubs maybe, draws people to find the source, ha)

He said as spirits were traveling by...say on their way to Calif...they are drawn and slide down the pole! Ha!
My job was to talk to those spirits and have them mosey on along, since
they were not the ones he was opening to.
(It was interesting that being in CO their last memory might be
having a horse on them and they couldn't move...fascinating!)

I thought it was an interesting story a little pertaining to the op.

Well times have changed since 12-21-2012. The balance of dark and light has shifted. There are those who advocate the best protect is to Not Use Protection.

Fear is what is noticeable about those who use protection. That is the light bulb that will get the attention of unbalanced energies. Can you envision yourself with so much compassion for self and others that protection would not be necessary?
