When I was a child, I heard of “Faith Healers”, much like the Australian Aboriginal Nungkari.

My aunty, perhaps because of a stroke had had her left arm paralysed for what - was it 3-4 years?
After the session with the healer (working like Nungkari) she was already able to lift her left arm into the sleeve of her coat and in the end was totally cured.

A neighbour had a brain tumour and something like 3 months to live & she went to a similar healer (or was it the same one?) and her tumour vanished.
Of course, we had never heard of Reiki, this was just an old traditional thing.
No prayers, no incense, no singing, no ceremony, no talk ….. no nothing.

Smoke from cedar and sage and many other plants and roots are good for
clearing negative energies.We do this before all else or maybe only smoke
or smudge ourselves.
It is a relationship or a circle with the plant and Fire,Water,Earth,Air.
It brings us back out of our pettiness or self-importance, it clears our mind and immediate space or energy field.
It clears those energies that keep us separate.It brings us back to the Sacred and the whole of Life.
It connects us to goodness.
