Nature Documentaries
Nature Documentaries you would recommend …
“WILD IRELAND” - “The Burren heart of Stone” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcsFXhrvpV4 I can see why this documentary (second half) was criticized for depicting the Euro hunter-gatherers (apart from their dark skin tone, also) as being of African phenotype. * |
As much as I would like to go and see the caves of Altamira and the Neolithic Megaliths of Europe – this is also on my bucket list (if we ever get over this Covid situation).
Back to the deep forests of my childhood, where we also still had bears, wolves, lynxes, beavers, moose etc. etc. Where I watched the canes dance on the swamp on my way to school, swans - listening to the arctic loon sounds echoing on lakes ... I just thought that was normal, not realizing this was not everyone's experience in Europe. If you are not interested seeing the whole behind-the-scenes happenings … go to the second part for the ‘summary film clips’ from 13:55 … Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPJsJAJb9C0 Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoYbHeqEWBA * |

When I was a child, I really enjoyed Mutual Of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom" every week. It was a child-friendly nature show that delighted the viewer with a peek into the lives of different animals. I'm not really into documentaries as a genre but I do enjoy nature documentaries. Thank you for posting.
