Lumbar spine stenosis

I visited an osteopath a few months ago. For stenosis. he proceeded to tell me the best way for me to address the problem was lose weight.
He didn't really have any other method. he tried very hard to adjust my back but failed. A small guy of about 65 kg. whereas I am around 105 kg.
Oh stretch the hip flexors which didn't make any difference at all.
On the last visit he injured me. Bruised ribs. Doctor said I was entitled to 3 days off work but if I don't work I don't get paid.
any ideas to cure lumbar stenosis. I spend an hour a day on my core muscle exercises. Even then pain will come if I stand more than an hour.

I have heard people talk about inversion tables.
I have not tried one yet.

I would focus on glute activation as that actually is quite vital to lumbar health.
Obviously I am not a doctor but have had enough care by body workers of all types and anytime I had lumbar issues with my very strong core they would have me work on glutes and the pain would be eased quickly. I realize your issue is more serious than what I have encountered but if you are already looking at exercise to support the issue it is worth incorporating.

Also lots of core exercises will activate the quad, sort of as an aid to the abdominals when they get fatigued or are weak to the point you become quad dominant and your body will naturally use glutes less so they become weak and cannot do their job supporting the lower back.

If you select core exercises that do not activate quads it will help keep you from making your body naturally neglect use of glutes.

A health care worker I know swears by ‘light therapy’ – though I wouldn’t know:

Near-infrared-850nm …. Deep red-660nm lamps

Stenosis is when something is being squeezed. Its a mechanical/physical thing which, if inducing pain, will have detrimental effects on your ability to engage in spiritual activities. Find postures which minimise pain when meditating but if your doctor is suggesting weight loss, its probably your weight trncating your spine to squeeze the nerves in between the disks. No matter how much massaging is done, your weight will shoogle it all back to pain again. Have you considered altering your everyday posture so as to balance the weight im a manner less likely to cause squeezing?

That light therapy works great for some things. My physio was using it on me and it worked far better than any of the other previous physio I've had with others when they were doing stretches and stuff on me. It speeds up healing. My daughter had light therapy done when she had an immune issue which was causing growths which were caused by a virus.. she'd had about 17 surgeries before that for the growths and was booked in for more surgery but the light therapy fixed the problem in only one treatment. It was used to boost her immune system. My daughter had it used on acupuncture points whereas I had it used directly on the affected area.

I though cant see how it would fix stenosis which is a narrowing, so structural.. I cant see how light therapy would put something back into correct alignment if it's out.

There is a few drs about now who are specializing in surgery for that. Apparently it can completely fix the issue.
