What Songs Sound Like Heaven?
 

Sometimes, I find music so ethereal and mystical, it feels like the soundtrack to heaven. What songs do you know of that make you feel like you're in heaven?

For me, there's a song by Akiko Shikata called "Gensou Rin"; "Illusion Forest". When I listen, it makes me feel transcendent.

Yes I agree. Music can help you soar to the heights. It probably depends upon what your musical tastes are. Personally I find that electronic dance/house music is very uplifting.

Hi .. it depends on mood for me. Sometimes I need to just lose myself in really loud rock music , a gritty voice and loud shouting lol. And other times classical music can reduce me to tears. But music, at any time, touches, feeds the soul.

Music for me is like food for the soul.
like Elfin my taste varies. but the most Heavenly music I have heard is. the time I went with my neighbor to her church to drop something off. and I heard it it was Angel music. until you hear that you will never know what the music sounds like

I assume you're talking about those very rare one-of-a-kind songs (often, if not only, mellow instrumentals) which exist that are sonic gems and not necessarily personal favorites that appeal to one's subjective taste in music.

A truly spiritually uplifting and cocooning song that immediately comes to mind and which I find to be quite divinely atmospheric and transporting is from the excellent Dan Gibson Solitudes series:

The beautiful chorales are lovely and enchanting and in my opinion this is the type of sound that would most likely be heard in heaven.

I enjoy a variety of music, including (more uptempo) genres I like better than this, but to answer your question, I can only think of a few instrumentals that best capture the heavenly spirit, with this being one of them.
