Given that manifestation’s an illusion ~
Why do we indulge in thought precipitation? |
We journey afar, to world’s wonders discover ~
Why hesitate then, to heart lotus uncover? |
Joy eternal, lies not in the ephemeral ~
Know oh hermit, flame of love in heart’s eternal |
Both fear and desire are rooted in attachment ~
Save in void of cessation, there’s no contentment |
To raise ourself we must transmute our form ~
Becoming living light, in a bliss storm |
Ceasing thinking, nurture feeling ~
Going with bliss beat appealing |
Too long have we wandered in a thought fog ~
Awake hermit! Let not tail wag the dog |
Yearnings both rise and are fulfilled in heart ~
So that’s where, oh hermit, we need to start |
Divine light’s veiled by mind-body opaque ~

Are we awake in the waking state ~
Mindful of desires that lie in wait |

Than as a blind follower of the herd |
The path appears when we choose to begin ~
Practice any, simply silence thought din |

Childlike wonderment and astonishment ~ Heightens joy quotient, moment to moment |

The world external is ephemeral ~
Yet we search therein, for joy eternal |

Detecting heart’s flaw, let out a guffaw ~
Behold how bubbles of delusion thaw |
Enslaved by mind, we’re in it’s bind ~
Till the time we leave fears behind |
Ego is joy’s thief, whilst love gives relief ~
Who oh hermit, should we anoint our chief |
Why for lust for we are but dust ~
Epiphany gust of God’s thrust |
He said he thinks so … then began to laugh ~
Astonished at his self-evident gaffe |
Wherefrom came that exalted thought ~
That inspirations with it brought |
Embracing in fullness each pulsation ~
We yet dwell in the void of cessation |
How long oh hermit, will we thus wallow ~
In ego spawned narrow thought forms shallow |
Outcomes any, surrendered at God’s feet ~
Tranquil in both victory and defeat |
We are in the boat that God rows ~
No wonder then, that our joy grows |
Rumbling thunder takes from God permission ~
That as of His will, be it’s emission |
If we are here, wishing to be elsewhere ~
Polarities within are yet to pair Once Shiva and Shakti, within unite ~ Heightened bliss pervades form, by day and night |
Choosing cessation in our waking state ~
Void centric witness sees desires abate Awareness, self-aware, thus in stillness ~ Moment to moment, is one with oneness |
Dissolving into the flame of the That Oneness ~
I yet remain in renewal of blissfulness |
Who do you search for in the wilderness ~
All manifestation, springs from oneness |
To what avail are scriptures etched on stones ~
If it’s true, we must feel it in our bones |
Ensouling mind-body, why aren’t we awed ~
What’s our aliveness, save a gift from God |
Sans identity, our true self’s revealed ~
Singular consciousness, nothing’s concealed |
All that our mind sees, is but an illusion ~
For souls detached, there is no confusion |
Ignorance is our only sin ~
To gain freedom, silence thought din Go in, into the heart centre ~ Behold therein, bliss throbs canter All that comes and goes, unreal ~ To know God, feel love’s full appeal |
