Well I thought I saw it all

One of my sons works in a charity shop which sells furniture.
I went there today and I saw an old sideboard with what looked like two rings on it.
My son asked me if I remember the group DuranDuran and the song Rio
I said yes he said the piece of furniture was copied to look like the cover of the song Rio.
So i said nobody will buy this not with the two marks on it so he said they are the place where these go,
he opens one of the doors and pulled out two legs that were made to look like human legs with Black tights on them and he places them on the marks.
Somehow people had got to hear about the piece of furniture in the shop and were fighting over who was going to buy it.

It looked so weird but I had to laugh at the state of it to think that someone was going to have it in a pride of place on show with the legs on top.

LOL, I was just thinking the same thing Traveler!

My husband loves that Christmas movie and I found a tiny Solar bobble replica of the leg lamp and bought it for him for Christmas last year. :D

That's really funny.

I thought I saw it all once . A chap on a pushbike cycling along one of the busiest , most dangerous roads in Leeds.
He had collected, from somewhere , a circular dining table.
The base was grey metal and quite ornate.
The top was glass .
How was he carrying it ?
The base over his head and around his neck , and the top was clutched under one of his arms and he steered the bike , peddling like a bat out of hell with one hand.
"Deathwish " springs to mind !!!

It's so funny Native. I've never heard anything like it.
It would be interesting to see inside that blokes house LOL.
I bet your son has plenty of stories to tell working in a charity shop.
( I Love charity shops).

( So does my mother, she once got locked in one overnight because she went into the bit that says "staff only " and they thought the shop was empty so they locked up and went home.
She "claims " she didn't see the sign and thought it was part of the shop...
Yeah, whatever mother....) Lol.
