Ask Bartholomew...
What is love...?
|
Seth:
We do feel an equivalent of what you call emotions, though these are not the love or hate or anger that you know. Your feelings can best be described as the three-dimensional materializations of far greater psychological events and experiences that are related to the “inner senses.” - Seth Speaks You will be bound to those you love and those you hate, though you will learn to release and lose and dissipate the hatred. You will learn to use even hatred creatively and to turn it to the higher ends, to transform it finally into love - Seth Speaks Your true feeling toward relatives who are also dead will be known to you and to them. There is no hypocrisy. You do not pretend to love a parent who did little to earn your respect or love. Telepathy operates without distortion in this after-death period, so you must deal with the true relationships that exist between yourself and all relatives and friends who await you. |
Wow, so good inavalan, thank you.

In it's most elemental form "love" is an expression of oneness. It is a matter of resonance. "Love at first sight" is no more mysterious than drawing near to another with whom we are so closely attuned that the two of are effectually two sides of the same coin, inseparable. When such a union produces children the offspring will tend to be endowed with the very same attributes. In it's higher expression "love" indicates a willingness to do "Gods" bidding, to cooperate with creative purpose. This inevitably results in the beginnings or what, in mystical terms might be called, the resurrection of the flesh. when we are one with God we fulfill our responsibility to "raise up" a small portion of the Earth. Both of these manifestations of "love" spring from the same source. Both join in a single grand design which will someday lead humanity to completion. A world devoid of this force is one outside the ken of the creator. Quite improbable. Bartholomew Sorry it took me so long to find this thread. |
Hmmm ... a perfect response, as always, from Bartholomew!
On a more rudimentary basis, how do we view the word ‘love’? Going beyond linguistics, semantics, we may examine the colourations of love, recognising that it has no opposite! Hate or aversion opposes attraction, so that’s not it. Love is an outpouring of Gods energy, essentially, for all practical purposes, the only real vibration. Everything else relates to mind body or ego. Let’s not hold back now! The highest aspect of what is commonly called love and yet which isn’t, is mother’s love for her child ... her child. Possession. Limited. The thought of love, not love. Only a thought. Love dependent upon reciprocation or even recognition, not self existent, so not love. So what is love then? As Bartholomew has said, it is a becoming, a melding, a resonation, an alignment, wherein essence of our presence with no residue of identity, reflects Gods love, albeit prismatically coloured as of its individuated God aspect. How may we say it? Love is immediate and intimate, being the God vibration and God is all there is! Beginning with bubbling joy, spontaneous empathy, ascending to all encompassing compassion, encased in purity of being, throbbing with purring bliss in renewal, love is the absolute vital life essence itself. Essentially, during effortless thought rested meditation, we let go of (ego) to get to (bliss), in a journey without movement, reconnecting with our true self. |
I would have to agree with what has been said, it is as i believe it to be
Namaste |
More depth of meaning than my response. You add the "colourations" of personality and happenstance to the dynamic. Yours is really more appropriate than mine.

Hmm, love is helping, aiding, giving to single women, older alone folks, feeding the needy - birds, feral,
lost, alley animals, people,...in so many ways - handing out thick gloves, scarves, rem the children sizes, wool things... socks, blankets from Goodwill, hats, sweaters - donating to the shelters, toothpaste, brushes, soap, wash clothes, those $1 reading glasses, quart baggies, you name it -in other words, focusing on those less fortunate... as much as you're able. Love is tacking $5 bills onto bus benches. Driving up to very poor houses when no one is around and putting a chunk of cash somewhere safe to be easily found -marked 'For Current Resident' . Forgiving idiots that hurt you acting out from their unresolved blocks, traumas, anger and issues. Gee, I could go on. Helping those in need. Love is being a Warren Buffet, Jeff Bezos-type and giving $100K to every shelter in the US and all over the poor Appalachian Mts, etc--- what they would make in interest in, say, 2-4 months? Guessing. Aiding those in real need directly, (before the admin cuts into it). Going above and beyond, caring. |
