Something Good That Happened Today

Anything good happened today?
Let's say them here. ^^
It can be one thing or you can make a list.

- I watched some funny Youtube vids
- I'm getting back into drawing and have improved my skills from watching some very helpful vids :D

My leg is starting to heal and am starting to walk with less of a limp.

I got plenty of sleep today.

I made myself some mint brownies today as well.

That's great! ^^
And mint brownies sound delicious!

-I ate some Valentine chocolates that my mom gave me. The coconut cluster from Russell Stover is my fave of the bunch.

Got in touch with some more feelings today, which some would call negative but I appreciate being able to understand myself.

I've also learned a lot about myself through my own negative feelings. It's usually through the bad we learn the most, even if it's pretty scary or difficult to deal with.

If you sweep a bunch of dust under a rug, it's tucked away, but still there. If you lift up that rug and expose the dust, you have the ability to deal with it properly.

I hope you'll continue to learn more about yourself, good luck on your journey to self-growth! :hug3:

Thanks, you too. :hug3:

It's not easy, but it's alot better than the feelings being hidden and destroying my life because they aren't being seen and heard.

Treat them as gently as you can.
Your feelings are yours, they are like your children begging for your attention.

~ I went for a relaxing walk today! ^^

Crowzie 20-02-2018 01:55 AM

I spent time with friends and realized how much love we all have for one another.

Awesome.

~ I got confirmation to volunteer at food bank tomorrow!

Soul Renew 22-02-2018 04:15 PM

Some Zumba classes in my area are allowing a free guest pass for their class. I don't want to join a gym just to Zumba, so I'm trying a few Zumba classes for free .
One by myself and two with my sisters. I'm scared of going by myself, but I'm going to try not to back out of it.

If I have enough courage and passion for Zumba, I might commit to a group.

I do love dancing~

I'm just so scared of doing things on my own since I've been sheltered most my life and living the wrong life... The outer world is so anxiety-inducing... =\

How was Zumba?

Had a good training session today. I feel very blessed. I was worried yesterday if my legs would pull through but i persevered. I feel very happy and blessed. I will continue this path.

The weather is nice and warm and sunny where I live, that's a very good thing :)

PureDevotionGirl 15-05-2020 06:55 PM

TODAY, I found out a picture on my phone was based on my second favorite movie, My Own Private Idaho! It made me really happy because the artists are Japanese, and it just shows love and art don't know borders and can't be separated by language. It made me feel universally connected.

GlitterRose 12-09-2020 05:42 AM

My fence blew down.

Why is that a good thing?

It made me think that it could have been my roof. That led me to thinking that even if it was...I have a roof, and that means I have a home and a place to lay my head. A lot of people don't have these things...especially right now. So that made me feel thankful, and also to think of others in need and how I might be able to help them. That led to some action to help others.

And that was a good thing.

Honza 12-09-2020 09:44 AM

Something turned up in the post that I was waiting for.

My sentiments exactly in similar situations...!!....And what happened to me today that was good?.. I woke up, living and breathing , another day to spend with my loved ones... ( Plus 2 hours of catch up with my favourite soap on TV..!!) ...

To spend a day relaxing and playing with my various decks of Tarot and Oracle cards.

Nice Post!

Most people never see the good coming from something that is perceived as 'bad'.

As for me, I picked up the bulky, dead 'trunks' of some of my plants that died this year. As I was doing that today, I realized how much I have learned in how to grow those plants.

Don't say that......

I felt like I was put thru one of those old fashion clothes wringers!

One day, my sister called me and told me Mom is thinking of kicking the bucket. I told her to go to Mom's place and remove all of the buckets. ....... That probably gave her another 5-10 more years.

Kidding all aside,
what are friends suppose to do?

I know!!.... But you were a diamond given that I could only just about manage to pick up the phone... Never mind type a message out. They were difficult days... Thank you x...... And NOW .... I'm looking forward to Christmas, all be it in a different way... And a lovely thing today will be to see my lovely grandson via video call. I haven't seen him in the physical since mid October... And won't see him probably until 2021... And yes of course i miss him... But the lovely thing is that at least I'm still here, and am not planning to go anywhere..... I have not had time to experience the boy coming to "grandma" with the "sob story" of his parents won't let him have this, that or the other...and Grandma saying "Hmmm..... Don't worry.. I'll "see what I can do".... Lol... ".... Knowing full well I'm putty in his hands, and WANT to experience that moment at least once before they throw me in the hole ...!!!

Thanks for the compliment but I only did what any friend would do. And then there is what brings a twinkle to your eyes....... he is so precious no wonder you love him so much!

As for the hole:
Don't worry about the hole...... you got a lot of good more years ahead of you.

As for me, well...... I know one thing..... I am not going to be thrown in a hole!

I plan on getting cremated. I once saw a cremation done outside. It was an old lady. The fire burned for a few days. I guessed they caked her body in a lot of resins because she 'smelt' really good.

Some say I am going to 'Hell' in a hand basket. A long time ago I came to the realization that wasn't going to happen. First, they don't make hand baskets that big and secondly, if they did, I would fall out the bottom.

Heehee... And you won't go to hell either, as it does not exist... I won't go in a hole either, can't think of anything worse !... Cremation, nice and warm eveytime !!.... Today is a good day .. my little boy is like a golden angel... At least I have been able to experience being a grandma.... Children are so precious ...

Since this Pandemic began, I think a lot of people are experiencing various forms of depression. I know it affects me and what you have gone thru this year, I would not be surprised if depression has been high on your list.

Clear skies today. That's positive. Sun hasn't been out in almost a week. Won't see constant sun until mid January when the cold really digs it's claws in. In winter sunny = cold clouds= warm. Really messed with the senses. Another positive might see the northern lights (aurora borealis)here tonight. Love when they appear on a clear night.

- At last I came into the right sleep rhythm
- For the first time in my life I acted self-loving (I didn't start lying to myself) in the initial phase of a relationship and ended this relationship
