What happened to you during spiritual awakening
 

Just thought a few messages on here would be helpful to others about our experiences during awakening - to share with people going through the extreme difficulties of spiritual enlightenment/awakening..... I start with something very simple but important I went totally off my favorite food 5 yrs ago 'cheese' - back on it again now so all is well....

It used to take me till midday boot the system up mind/body/spirit or mind/body at least anyway...

Hi one-light. Where does one start? !!! So many factors and each individual will have a different experience. For me I think the biggest "earthly" impact it had on me was to clear out everything I had spent decades accumulating. Delusional treasured possessions simply had to go. They were never treasured, had no sentimental meaning , and were just "there" cluttering up my house. In my sudden realisation that material items had no place any more, I went on a frenzy of getting rid of anything that did not serve the new me. Had to stop short at throwing hubby in bag too !!!!!!! ( Only joking!!)....and further to that, I now refuse to buy things that I do not need...this thread I feel will be very interesting.

I was very lucky in the parents I had to come in this life. My father waited for me to be 16 before sharing about spirituality. Before 16, if it was not Nature, I was exploring the concepts of Physics to explore this world, dreaming all the time I was an atom, a photon, a galaxy and travelling all over. It was quite a change of paradigm for my monkey mind to simply open directly to the entities of this world with no monkey mind in between.

Hi Legrand ... You were so very lucky to have such wonderful parents. My experience, age 16 from my own parents was this " You need to get a job now and start contributing to the family income..." ...which is all well and good, and the way of the world I suppose. But oh how I would have loved, at such a tender age to have been taken out and shown the things you were shown. How wonderful.. your father , to show you all of that , age 16, is really lovely...

Yes I think everyone who puts a message on regarding awakening will be helping someone else just starting to go through this very difficult time in their lives, and help give them strength... It should be interesting if people take time to message on here with difficulties they've had to deal with on their own journey to here now.

One of the things I struggled with over last many years awakening, body temperature, go to bed shall I put 20 pairs of pajamas on or will the ice pack be a good idea - doesn't tell you this in the instruction manual does it!! So you lovely newbies on here and worldwide - you have to work it out for yourselves.. but not quite were all here to help...

Oh oh oh.... Body temp. !!!! You see me being a lady of shall we say a "certain" age.. I didn't really think anything different. But as the years go by I'm thinking "this can't be right"... Until I research and discover this is very much a part of awakening. Inability to sleep for several hours upon going to bed... Or falling asleep in the blink of an eye , only to wake a couple of hours later , unable to then sleep for several more hours. And yes, also the "waking" period at around 4am.. or earlier. And that is just one little tiny bit of the whole process. This thread can, and probably will go on for months.
