What is being grounded and what is it about?

I’ve a long journey to go to groundedness so what’s your view on the matter?

In my experience being grounded is about stability. Having a good solid foundation to work from so that I can try and be as aligned and balanced mentally, physically and spiritually as possible.

It also helps one to be more present and aware of reality, helping you to be more level headed and down to earth.

The state of your health, mental or otherwise and your commitment or ability to practice self care will greatly effect your ability to be grounded so be sure to maintain good health or work on doing so.

Getting in touch with the elements (earth, air, fire, water) can help one to become more grounded for eg.

- Walking around barefoot on sand, grass or soil
- Laying on grass being aware of all sounds
- Doing a root chakra visual meditation
- Going for a walk on a windy day
- Going out in the rain, feeling the rain on your skin
- Focusing upon the flame of a burning candle
- Gazing into an open fire
- Have a cold shower
- Have a sea salt bath
- Go for a dip in the ocean
- Hold wrists under a running tap of cold water
- Go out into nature among large trees
- Hug a tree
- Plant something in soil
- Spend time in clean rivers, creeks or streams
- Ventilate your home with fresh air often
- Eat root vegetables
- Spend time in churches or holy places

I wish you well and hope this helps

Pretty much my view. And also having your external affairs in order is part of a solid foundation. I know when I'm not grounded, which is feeling light-headed, racing thoughts, bumping into things and important things or me not being attended to.

Personally, very good affirmations and de-cluttering have helped in keeping me grounded

CosmicWonder 24-03-2022 08:48 AM

I’m more grounded lately. Not sure how I do it. Maybe I’m just faking it lol

Izz 24-03-2022 02:20 PM

I'm glad, CosmicWonder, that you are more grounded lately :)

Affirmations mainly help me stay grounded while I do the things I'm most passionate about

To me being grounded is in how I think
