I have been reading thru many posts and many of them are old posts. I am new here and many of the ones I have read are closed and I was wondering why? Are posts given so many days or months?

How did you arrive at the conclusion that postings were closed? Threads naturally run out of steam when members lose interest in the subject but only staff can close a thread.

You mean she'd read threads that the administration / moderation staff had closed then? Not postings that had stopped because interest had waned....:smile:

But as you say, what were the chances she'd end up reading a bunch of postings in threads that have had to be closed for whatever reason, eh? :wink:

And that indicates those particular threads have been closed. :smile: They remain open, however, for anyone to read them but they have been closed to further comments.
