Hello from France

Hi everybody,
I am new on this forum, very excited to be able to participate.
I am sure there's lots of interesting posts to read.
As the same for most of us, we have to find the time in our busy lives, now and then, to connect and read and discuss about he most important questions of our lives.
I have been interested in spirituality for a long time, and am interested in people too, in psychology, what people do and how they think, etc. On top of that I am interested in psychotherapy. Putting these three together makes a interesting 'cocktail', showing you how we progress spiritually in our lives.

I live in Southern France.
Blessings to everyone.

Hi Oscar, I am new here also. Not sure if this is the forum to ask you questions. What is the connection between spirituality and psychology?

Oscar Frye 31-05-2021 09:01 PM

Hi everybody,

Thank you for your 'welcome'.

Hi Ayar415,

When we talk about spiritual growth, there are many different ways in which one can grow, but when we talk about conscious work, thinking, reading, writing, discussing, interacting, we are talking about mental processes, this is the psychology of the individual, how the individual thinks, and what he thinks, what he does, and why he does what he does, etc.

Hope it helps.

Hi Native Spirit,

I like your picture.
Always had something with the native american indians.
I remember the book of James Michener 'Centennial', and the television series based on his book.
I was young then still, but so appreciative of the indians' way of being close and in harmony with nature.

The story was about the tribe 'Our People', if I remember well, and the chief was called 'lame beaver'.

When asked about the name, they said "the beaver has great influence on the landscape through what he builds, and so, considered a smart animal, then when he's 'lame', he must think twice as hard !'.

Blessings.
