Gods? or Celestial beings that are aspects of the one?

I was told that the Hindu "Gods / Goddesses" arent really Gods or Goddesses. That they are extensions or aspects of the whole God.. Ishvara? Forgive my ignorance.

Hi, are you asking something? I was unclear.
Forgive MY ignorance!

I'm sorry. My question is Are the Hindu Celestial Beings Gods or Goddesses or are they just a "celestial being" that are an extension of a whole God? Is Ishvara that whole God?

Yes...hahahaha...both.
As you are you, an individualized being, yet part and parcel of the One, by any Name.
Let's see how others say it. :hug3:
There is only One Being...and how wonderful when shown this....oh my. :notworthy:

From the Advaita perspective everything - including Gods and Demons, Heavens and Hells - are all manifestations of the Unmanifest (Nirguna Brahman). Isvara (Saguna Brahman) is the highest manifestation and in essence Lord of the Universe - what many would call God - but a manifestation nonetheless.
