The World Pole or The World Mountain (like a pyramid) or The World Tree …
In the old times to even more recent times … the Eagle sat on the top of the World Pole/Tree and the Snake at its roots, so people brought food for the ‘pet’ snake under that Sacred Tree. My interpretation had been, that the snake was also a symbol of ‘ascension’ on that World Tree … because energy moves like a snake ….. Or lightning was also like a Snake when Eagle/Thunderbird suddenly awakes one onto another plane of awareness … And Snake was also what a Shaman ‘costume’ had – snake belts … Sounds a bit like “Kundalini” ??? But perhaps I am wrong? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFAF-TL8nls * |
Maybe the Near Eastern Neolithic farmers had dancing temple girls???
Still, about time somebody got outraged! https://www.rferl.org/a/tatar-singer.../28009242.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_icPJuwhPU I felt sorry for the camel. * |

I on the other had a hard time following some of it. This is all new to me, so I was having a hard time following at times. He went through a whole heck of a lot of information. Maybe I should have taken notes. I don't know if you know of the tv show Ancient Aliens or not, but I felt like I was watching that show. I like the pictures of the Ancient site but have a hard time following another persons interpretation or hypothesis. The people Ancient Aliens see everything through their lens of interpretation. |

Cool, but I think they linked them together long ago. Chariot wars are a big example. I am more interested in when people treated the horse as Sacred. Also when they treated Metal as Sacred. Also the Wheel/circle. There is no need to call me a New Ager now sentient...Though I do own a New Age mode of transport made of Horse power, metal and wheels. |

Well, neither did we in early Europe. European history did not start at the arrival of Indo-Europeans. So - you are talking about Indo-European migration into Europe and the culture/beliefs they brought with them - and this is not the same as indigenous European hunter-gatherer culture/beliefs. P.S. From the talk you ImthatIm posted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAmzTMAIAAM – 52:25 to 56:00. My post #1000 was a response to that, because I so relate to that Swan part. Here I would be very interested in the 30-40 Amerind tribes’ cosmological beliefs about Cygnus constellation and the “Path of the Souls”, IF there are any similarities. * |

I simply was stating they all have peeked my interest for future investigation. I plan on reading your post #1000 link later. |

So the above was taken from: https://www.andrewcollins.com/page/a...ery_cygnus.htm It looks like you will have to get a copy of the book to see what it says about Native Americans echoing the mind set of Cygnus and it's importance. Or you may have to wait until Deneb is the Pole star again.(year 9800) Here is an article that may interest you. https://www.newswire.com/news/americ...ecrets-8947553 |
Thanks for the links ImthatIm!
You had mentioned the "Mound Builders" a while back, but it took me this long to ‘come to them’: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxZ8cgoqtsg Now that is astonishing! Never knew! Some really interesting images and artefacts there. Had a look at this as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c5pty3VKnM&t=18s Quote:
A stab in the dark here, but looking deeper into Indo-European beliefs … maybe you can find something checking up Kurgans and Scythians (?) Kurgan Mound Builders Quote:

Origins of the Celts:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brxu_h_pzBg DNA evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XAQsxhEzvU ^ Whilst it is true that the indigenous Europeans (we are all part of) moved to British Isles and to “Doggerland” from the ice age cave refugia's in Spain, later though “over 90% of their DNA was replaced by Bell Beakers, by the Indo-European expansion in Europe”. If I remember right, there were some hunter-gatherers who made a comeback & did they then reintroduce the Swan as a carrier of souls to the Celts in Ireland, or had there been remnants of the original people and that belief left in there? Apart from that dna error, his talks about the steppes are marvellous and well worth listening to imo. - like the Scythians for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFsd_LyYZdo Apparently Quote:
So far, I haven’t found Indo-European connection to Deneb & the Swan/Cygnus Constellation, which the mound builders in Americas allegedly had as well as Swastikas. Up in the Arctic Swastika is not so much a sun symbol, but a symbol of the Pole Star (Be it in Cygnus or wherever). Must look at those artefacts again … * |
P.S.
Collins: Quote:
HA! In his book “Denisovan Origins : Hybrid Humans, Goebekli Tepe, and the Genesis of the Giants of Ancient America” - he talks about our Sacred Site (& I had wondered – why & how come he had not made the connection – but he had!: https://books.google.com.au/books?id...0onega&f=false And yes, yes, the Swan laying the “Cosmic Egg” (Creation Story) is also told … (variations of it being the Eagle and the Duck). In it he talks about Karels&Veps … but, but, but, the Swan is the Totemic Ancestor of Saami further up North. We all shared that Site ... … Still, Collins got it! * |
