Finances and Family

There is alot of nervousness amongst some about the state of their countries' economy. Unfortunately I'm told this will continue for some time but this has it's upside as well. With many of you working reduced hours and having trouble finding jobs the universe is giving you the opportunity to spend quality time with youe family and friends. Now is a time to make life simpler apparently by going back to the way things used to be. For example, you can save alot of money by making things at home rather than going out to the store and buying them and those of you who have children can have hours of fun cooking in the kitchen with them. Making breads, cakes, muffins etc are all fun things you can do together. Not only do you not have to do all the work you get to see your children's self esteem rise as they create little masterpieces! Encourage older kids to choose one recipie they would like to one night a week, light candles and eat together the old fashioned way.

Also in addition to this I'm told some of you should start popping a bit of money away each week in a little jar and use it to do some fun things at the end of the week...whether that's renting some dvd's, going out for icecreams in the park or donating a bit to charities. You'd be surprised how the money you put in will add up with little effort on your part.

To entertain children cheaply, take them to play with cousins, out camping or even just on little outings that don't cost much. You'll have fun while also not having to worry about your bank account balance.
