What's going on with usernames?
 

I've noticed lately when seeing users who have signed in on any given day that there is a number of non-sensical usernames for newer members. Not just that they don't make sense to me (as I respect all users to choose whatever name he/she wishes). But I'll see a string of people in a line at the bottom of the forum page that have similar names or perhaps one letter off to vary different accounts.

My question is are their trolls that sign up for multiple accounts using a name repeatedly and only altering the name slightly to create multiple user accounts?

Just seems to me that something nefarious is going on. :confused:

I've seen it happen repeatedly. It's not new and it does not appear to harm the operation of the site.

A lot of them are spammers I am forever getting rid of them but they keep coming back
