Lucky 1, what an amazing story and musician! I had never heard of him. (And yes, sometimes I do live under a rock. lol) took a stroll to Ye Olde I-tunes store to make a purchase.

Jack Johnson is from Hawaii and was a professional surfer in his late teens and early 20's till he was so seriously injured in a surfing accident that it took more than two months to recover and heal up

Newly married and with a baby...And with encouragement from his friend Jimmy Buffett he decided that a life of music was probably a much safer occupation for a new dad.

Buffett plays Jack's music on his "Radio Margaritaville" Sat radio station all the time which is how I became familiar with him.

I love his often simple acoustic sound and smooth singing style combined with some very meaningful lyrics. ....His music is just very listenable!

Here's another one Anala I think you'll will like a lot!

Jack Johnson...........Wasting time

I see what you mean about the lyrics being meaningful. I like the relaxed beat.

I let the songs just play through on YouTube as I was cooking, yesterday and today. I really enjoyed all the songs. Australia 60 Minutes had an interview, which told a bit of his story. He is so humble and gentle spirited. I think my favorite is the Curious George video.

I did want the ask your if you have ever swam under the ocean and seen it look like a turbulent cloudy sky, like in the video. It was unforgettable.

There was something foreboding about the video and then when you said about the accident and the interview mentioned it, the feeling made sense. (Silly, I know... and way off topic)

I liked the Kenny Chesney.:D I can see you all on the beach with adult beverages dancing on the beach in Friday carefree spirit! Enjoy!

My Song of the day, True colors, by Cindi Lauper but song by Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick. https://youtu.be/la0-5QFLr14
(I was with friends in chat and my heart just swelled as we were talking about Matt and that this is the house that Matt built and how blessed we all are to have a safe place. Tears just spilled right out. Good tears. As if someone gave my heart a squeeze.)

Anala, ive seen that turbulent look under the water untold times...

I have scuba dived since i was in my teens. I have a "open water" masters dive certification......my 13 year old grandson Nicolas just got his masters certification last summer and my 9 year old grandson Noah would legitibly qualify for an open water certification too.....but he's not old enough to legally take the test.

I have a Mako 334 in the slip behind my house and we dive and spearfish out in the gulf all the time!

Summer before last the boys were clamoring for an adventure before school started again...i asked them were they wanted to go and they chose French Polynesia....so we flew into Papeete Tahiti and dived and fished off Rangaroa atoll for about 10 days.

The summer of 2018, we went on a diving trip to Roatan Honduras and the boys got to dive El Anguila 17th ship wreck.

Tbeses boys have more stamps in therr passports tben most adults!
