ASMR

I love ASMR videos. Some of them are really helpful for meditation and mind stillness.

Few examples.

I like this woman's cleaning and food preparation videos. ^

Also the rain ones. I didn't know they were called ASMR, which I had to look up the meaning.

Not sure if this counts as ''ASMR'', but to me it does.

I've just realised the description of ASMR doesn't fit with what happens to me with those videos of mine. I just zone out and relax.

It is so interesting that ASMR seems to be filling a need in a society which is drenched in distractions...

I think it's cool how these videos are basically a mindfulness practice in a way as they bring people back to centre.

I personally don't like the eating ones or whispering ones haha as they freak me out. I did enjoy one where a woman was folding laundry... But that is partly because of a fantasy that I have someone folding my laundry, someone who is not me lol.

there are actual ASMR practitioner providers popping up now, where you can go and immerse yourself into a sensory experience.

ASMR means "Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.

Thanks. I wondered if it had anything to do with the Chinese meridian system but I couldn't find any connection.

Here is a website devoted to asmr information https://asmruniversity.com

I just tried to watch a video where a woman explains asmr while doing an asmr video.

The whispering freaks me out lol... It actually makes me feel kind of sick I don't think I've got the right brain for the audio asmr stuff lol...

I'll try another quiet folding laundry one haha.

This is beginning to feel like the second most strangest post I've ever contributed on this forum.

Yes, thank goodness for Google and the likes.

I've thought of another one. Blackhead extractions.
