Or phrase
Left his young heart
Aflame
A gushing volley
Of blues and light and
Half light
Made him rise
To chance to name the world
Again
A chance to sing for nothing
Other than not knowing
Gave way
And the swallows in the eaves
Cried
Their silent cries
Arcing above the yellow fields
Across the furnaced sun setting
Their black tails aflame
Has it been shorter than a day?
Since you first
Kissed the smile of Being here and alive
Curtailed by war, tragedy and plight
And yet wanting to know something
