Tried remote Reiki, ummm...

I'm just starting to do small spells and I came across one how to send healing energy (distance reiki) to people in a Beginner's book...

Ummm... After I stopped, I went to bed and I felt bad energy come back. Was I accidentally sending "bad" energy and it was coming back, or was this the other person's energy??? I grabbed grounding stones and made it go away. Maybe this shouldn't be a beginners thing ...

Healing isn’t easy at all. Can go wrong totally. Also, healing can be bad. If someone doesn’t heal him or herself, it’s usually just their choice. That’s why I usually ask for permission.

But yes healing causes you to receive the bad. After all, the wound should never be forgotten (until healed). There is someone that has to go through the pain.

Kind regards,

CW

That is your opinion. I'd like to make that clear.
That has not been my exp over the last 40 years this yr.

Hii Miss H.,

It is from experience. It’s true that it’s my opinion tho. I know we have very different life experience. All the healer people I’ve met warned me of the issues been absorbed by the healer tho. That’s like 5 or 7 different people saying that with a good amount of experience on healing themselves and others. It’s a known issue. But you are free do disagree. But maybe you can offer some insight in how you heal others or yourself then?

Kind regards,

CW

I can't wait to hear from others here on this. Healing? Me?
Um, simple - I tell the Holy Spirit to heal the person, usually head to toe,
with a smile and immense love and respect.
(I don't ask...it would be like saying to someone...''Put that on the table, please...And thank you.''
Instead of, "Would you put that on the table, please? Thank you"...
A subtle difference, still a profound difference.)

Hii Miss H.,

In my opinion there is a huge difference here in what you do and using magic. Jezus for example is so evolved he can heal people in a snap I think. However learning this yourself takes a journey. I am not jealous of the help you get from the spiritual, because I really am into that journey of becoming something bigger myself. But that sometimes requires me to go through a rough time. Hence the difference in life experience. I of course don’t know your intention behind your choices, but what I can tell is that you use the spiritual in a very different way IMO.

Agreed or not agreed? Sounding silly or makes sense? Kind of trying to understand it better.

On the topic: I think if you want to heal someone, Miss Hepburn her idea of using higher power could be better. It can be so relieving for someone to get a touch of the Holy Spirit or Jezus. They are truly powerful. Healing is someone to first to be practiced on yourself IMO. Going from a state of brokeness fixing another might IMO inflict problems.

Kind regards,

CW

I was taught to disconnect from the person's energy. I do this by simply brushing myself all over with my hand with the intention of disconnecting. I also wash my hands after a distance healing. I suppose you could sage yourself or have a shower too.

Yup, water.
After awhile you just mentally 'cleanse', disconnect, if you even would feel to.

PS everyone rem 2-3 sentences when quoting others. :)

Were you sending bad energy? That depends on if you were sending energy yourself. And accidentally sent some of your own energy which may have been out of balance within yourself. While it's a taboo subject, and a sore subject for some, the teachings on Reiki are, that a person cannot send Reiki without being attuned to Reiki. Otherwise, you are just sending energy, and your own personal energy field. And when we try and force healing to occur, is generally when we feel sluggish, or worn down the next day because we are forcing and trying to make it happen. With energy work of Reiki, we are meant to be the conduit and channel for the energy to flow through us, and for us to get out of the way to allow it to happen.

Generally distant Reiki is not a beginning teaching, and it is taught in the second degree. Of course, now a days, you can find all types of things online, and in books. Which is why it's good to have a class on it, to be able to talk with one who may know a thing or two to help guide you.

As to why you may have felt "bad" energy. Do you know for sure it was "bad" or did it just startle you, and you jumped to fear, and it was "bad?" Or it's possible you picked up some of their energy and you didn't ground, or clear your own space after wards? Working in energy, and clearing, that energy can need to be cleared from your space after working with it. Were you doing healing work with their permission, or did you send anyways?

have you had reiki attunements and training? If not you were not sending reiki. Reiki is a practice of providing universal energy to yourself or others. The person receiving the energy is the healer, not the person sending the energy.

It sounds like you may have been doing something called "Theraputic Touch" which if you are not trained can give you some issues, but they are your issues, not the person you sent the energy to.
