Dream about my father who has passed away

My father passed away over 20 years ago and I haven't dreamt of him many times. Last night I was with him in my childhoods house and I met a childhood friend and we walked in the neighbourhood and looked at places how they had change since. When we came back to my house there was policecars and a ambulance. I knew something happened to my father. The people there told me he had drinked so much alcohol so they have to take him away from there. He didn't want to go so they had to carry him out. My father saw me and said my name before they went out. I was scared and I didn't know if I wanted to stay at the house for one more night. In real life my father actually died because of alcohol.

i think that the dream may have been indicative of you (your mind) revisiting
the circumstances of your youth, and specifically your fathers alcohol use.
perhaps you'd made some firm judgments about what and why he'd had that
issue to deal with, and perhaps you're open to reinterpreting some of that now.
in the dream, he'd been taken away without his consent, and the entire
situation may have been contrary to his deepest desires in real life.
[maybe it had been something akin to a kharmic obligation for him to have
passed that way, or to have dealt with addiction at all (?)]

Thanks HORACE! I've been thinking about this dream a lot. One side of me thinks that he visited me in the dream and the other side tells me that this is something I haven't processed yet (about the alcohol). Maybe it has left scars that I have to deal with now?
