These Mark Charles talks truly are like healing balm to the pain of the thorn, that is always there in the background and flares up when it is experienced anew in the ‘foreground’.
One always knew what the-name-of-the-game was, but to have actual letters, instructions from the pope – I never knew this! Thank goodness it is all out in the open! What a relief! OMG how entirely different Greek/Eastern/old ways Russian Orthodox Church was. Brings me to tears – it really does & how grateful I feel we had our time with them before the witch-hunters, the race hygienists bent on genocide came: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcLREBBc6cI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CphYX3TfS04 Interesting also how similar Navajo sounds to Alaskan languages, but of course – they belong to the same language group. Did Navajo bring their “swastikas” from Alaska – I wonder? Quote:

It does always seem to be a sticking point. How to heal the pains to move forward in a good way. How does everyone get the same rights and freedoms when the resources are still being fought over. It is a hard road to follow, the Spiritual Road. Though it is a good Road. :icon_rendeer: |

Navajo’s ‘Spider Woman’? My other grandmother talked about ‘Spider Mother’ (the way we have a sentient/cognizant/energetic link to all that is, and through these links we can ‘ascend’ the 7 spiritual levels to the ‘Central Sun’ (another symbol for Axis Mundi). * Similar message from 'Oz' Elders ... from Uncle Bob R.I.P. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0sWIVR1hXw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8zAh3irMYo A message of all-inclusive-unconditional-love, Nonduality. Unconditional love that just is, without there being a giver nor a receiver of it ... Hence no posturing one’s self (image) as a ‘spiritual person’. That sort of con only works on ‘whites’, who insist and want to create, enable dual hierarchies. Everybody is a unity of mundane and spiritual, realized or not (and on what 'level'). Navajo’s ‘Spider Woman’?
Even Spider Woman has woven her way into the US gov's thinking.LOL https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1832128/ I have known people that work with Spider medicine. I mainly know of Iktomi the trickster but Grandmother Spider that has to do with Creation and the web of life I know only a little. I regard Spider medicine as Big on the helper list. I remember a Spider song in a yuwipi once it was a special special experience, that allowed me to know connectedness and unconditional Love like never before. These things are difficult to maintain in two worlds. At least difficult for this two legged. |

Yes, the same message. He also says: “When you are in that space” The very first time I saw Uncle Bob, was when he was peering into my eyes across the supermarket mall (in Alice) - with a big ear to ear smile. I *shifted* into that space instantly. From that shift, I also instantly knew him to be a “Spiritual Elder”, but that space centre viewpoint is egalitarian …. The hierarchy or ‘spiritualness’ is in the “space centre” itself which is above both of us, or above all. It is both of us – yet neither of us (as such). * And for some indigenous person – to make themselves to be the ‘mystery’ or something more ‘spiritual’ than ‘you’ … taking in donations and dishing out ‘blessings’ whatnot … that is a con. But people believing in hierarchies buy into these cons hook, line and sinker and also insist on them. * |

https://doowans.com/spider-medicine/ I do love studying the Spider and Spider Medicine. The Spider has been one that has helped many times in life. Much of the help is not clear at first. The Spider usually makes you think long and hard about events or situations. Even then those Spider tricks and riddles carry on teaching into other events and situations and you learn to look at things differently. Not just at what might be apparent at the time. I seen this one teaching on Spider that was beyond any teaching I ever heard. It was on youtube and I took it with a grain of salt. I will share it below. But it is long 1:30 hours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYj-G6M8GBE Now I assume the man is part of seminars or some type of pay to stay, no free ride teachings. He seems to be linked up with this group 'star knowledge conference'. Which seems New age-gee.But he was spitting stuff I never heard before that made my go back to listen to more to see if anything peeked my interest. I don't want to judge the man, since I don't know him. |

Some youtubes credit the Santa/Shaman-mushroom connection/tradition to Saami, - which is true, but I think we got it from the pre-proto- (whatever the term - people - who later became known as) Chukchi/Koryak. Also, I sometimes wonder if our 2 styles of 'joiking' (Karelian&Saami) started during that time period as well as I do not think our Euro ancestors - the Western Hunter Gatherers 'joiked'. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/8b/6e/ef/8...82483d497a.jpg Don't know. I think I'm getting a better understanding of egalitarianism vs. hierarchy. Also why you said something like indigenous elders are not hierarchical like the Pope. I've seen you reference hierarchy a few times since I mentioned Arvol was like the pope. I didn't give it much thought, sense I knew what I meant. I am seeing clearer the difference between what I will put into my own way. hierarchical= pyramid like with a leader on top of everyone else in their place. vs. egalitarianism= Circle like with a leader who has responsibility for the circle. Remaining pliable but applies wisdom. These 2 are pretty blurred nowadays and a person does need to be on the look out for someone wanting to lord over you. I have a Tlingit friend that knew I made fire and carried rocks for people he also knew. They stayed at our place one time. He said "I need some yellow cedar to make a staff" I could tell the staff would be for something important to him. I told him that I would take him to the mountains about a 2 1/2 hr. drive and get him some from a Old growth Grandfather yellow cedar that was at least 300 years old and it was already cut and seasoned. We traded for it from another friend and returned home and once we did, he asked if I would carve it for him. I told him I would consider it. He then said he wanted me to carve it and then come with him to a neighboring Longhouse/Smokehouse and teach them people what was what. I guess he was unhappy with them for some reason. I then laughed and said "you can carve your own staff and take care of your own business" while still laughing. At a later visit he tricked me, to journey to the mountains. He said to make fire and make some prayers. Drink some coffee and sing some songs. We went and the truth was then told he wanted me to make fire and heat up Grandfather Rocks to do purification lodge for several days in a row. 10 sweats in 10 days is what we ended up doing. I was not happy at first, especially since he didn't even have no coffee.LOL Mainly just the trickery made me uneasy and not happy at first. But my point is I felt as though he was trying to lord over me and there was never real agreement. The lines were blurry. I have not made Fire or carried Rocks for him since and he has not asked. egalitarianism vs. hierarchy maybe but blurry. I miss him, for sure though since he's a Raven. Arvol is at the center of a circle because he is caretaker of the White Buffalo Calf Pipe. So he has Caretaker status and recognition, like that. He is no Pope, for sure. LOL He is not His Holiness, though The Pipe is Holy.:icon_rendeer: |

Within the language is the culture. The way in which we view the world and learn how to function within that worldview/order - finding our place in it. Foreign language brings foreign reality orientation with it and dysfunctionality, because the old values and ‘beliefs’ contradict these new ones. One of them is this egalitarian vs. hierarchical social order, the celebrated one-upmanship, they call freedom. In a tribal setting one has a collective identity. Individuality is very much celebrated, but only in the context of it belonging to the totality of the tribe. Within that belonging to totality - is unconditional inclusiveness. You don’t find it in this ‘foreign order’. * |

This is purposeful.IMO A base to keep Natives to not wander 'Off Reservation' as the saying goes. I could just say to keep thing in check. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH2tKUusg9g I find the video so true. How to keep sites Sacred???? Big question. You can NOT keep a secret Sacred site Sacred if you divulge the secret I have found. People love to try and take from the site. They will even steal the prayer articles to have a piece of something Sacred. Once there is theft how can that be Sacred any longer??????? It turns Good feeling into bad feelings and sadness. Why???? Do you know what I mean?? Have some respect, stay away. from things that are not understood. My honest opinion. I once knew of a site. It was Scared. Now they dug it up and sold off all the crystals. Now it is just fragments scattered around. But people do not care. |

I came across something lovely, I’d like to share.
Imo. This relates to opening up, trusting and letting go into That Space of Totality – where Spider Mother has given us all a sentient connection to all that is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj6YVv1Uklg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkOwLDaMUX0 Depending on how one works this connection Spider Web can either ‘ascend’, lead one into Nonduality or ‘descend’, lead one into further illusions of duality. * |
Deep nonthought listening (to the connection), works just as well on humans as it does on animals.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr_wbGswbwI ‘Communion’ or connectedness can only work on equal (egalitarian) terms. * |

Good source to listen to, thanks. When a rock is said to be sacred – people want to climb it, abseil from it, leave their mark on top of it, take selfies next to it etc. etc. turning the site into an amusement park. Everything but silencing down and listening to the land, the rock itself (or deeply listening one’s connection to/with it - what it might reveal). * |

Nice one. It intrigued me to watch other videos on the Sami. I've watched several now and will post some of the ones I like. Seen one about 1890s Sami taking reindeer herd to Alaska to help Alaskan Natives raise and herd them. Their Sami ancestors are still living up there in Alaska. |
sentient I really, really enjoyed these 2 videos
first one is about 6:30 mins. 2nd is almost 30 mins. long. So just thought I would let you know it is still doing what it does. |

I guess Nils-Aslak Valkeapää (translated “Whitehead”) coached/influenced people out of the shame (the way our parent’s generation generally never could come out of that trauma). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Efu-tnZt_mU Also Interesting: “The Sun, My Father” https://khio.no/system/images/W1siZi...1d/danbolt.jpg * To my other grandmother, Sun was/is a Goddess (i.e. she) – who gave the Spider a thread so it can move between Earth and Sky/Heaven. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/e0/fc...7b89c1bcb0.jpg Quote:
But then again, this other gran, - according to some Saami relatives - would have gotten her deity from the Komi/Udmurt reindeer herder ancestry who moved into Lapland and at one point married Saami. * My nondual gran was related to a Valkeapää family, (& sounds like it is the same one) but she held the Eagle to be central to her worldview & not the Central Sun: https://rgdn.info/assets/uploads/ima...os/4e29e-1.jpg So many different local beliefs (even in one family) that one has to chase these around Fennoscandia & half across Siberia & beyond to know where they all came from … * |

I had watched another youtube documentary about it, but this was interesting also. Just one thing, that was such an 'odd note' ... weird ... Part one 21:30 -21:57 .... and the Saami bloke didn't recognize moose antlers?!!! Where is his identity - in his clothes? * |

Yeah, I thought that was funny. Elk???? What???? At least they are young and learning. I had seen something about a bigger Elk than the Moose. The extinct Irish Elk.... Wow! I do know many that have their identity in their regalia... Unfortunately. |
Amazing historical and Spiritual depiction. |
I remember you posted these before.
I like studying them more and more since they keep revealing things I did not notice before. They remind me of nature, the more you settle into it the more it reveals. I am wondering if 1 c is depicting Thunderbirds on the sides?? If not thunderbirds then Goose or Crane becuase of the straight beeks? Also I will guess 1c is depicting Badger or Wolverine on the bottom but just guessing... 1 c The 5 skulls on top I would say it depicts the ancestors. 1 c It looks to me Thunderbird heads(4) that surround the central main head with curved beeks???? I just noticed picture 2 there is a circle at the anus of the horse. I would assume this is for the value of the use of the feces in fire and or fire keeping. I could go on with these all day. Amazing, Amazing. I love pictures and art. I will let them rest and return to them later. .............< 1 a >,.......................< 1 b >........................< 1 c > ........................................< 2 >........................................... |

But then I started thinking … “The Sun, My Father” ? Hang on … but “Beaivi” (Day, daylight, sun, sunlight) … is a female name. Which doesn’t mean that some Saami could not have regarded the Central Sun as a Father … instead of a Mother … (I just took it for granted that the Sun is female). This provided the answer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaivi Quote:
Since the Drum is a cognitive map – for me the Centre is the World Pole (nailed in Pole Star) with the Eagle on top. But for Saami it is the Central Sun. In practice though it mounts to the same thing. Quote:
