I was pretty silly the other day thinking of a Segway with knobby tires and a ball hitch and a wagon...It seemed reasonable at the time...LOL

A Bear Butte story.
We once put a Cree Sundance Chief from B.C. Cananda up on the Hill for Vision Quest, Way up on the top of Bear Butte.
I had known him a few years and had much respect for him and he always shook hands in a way that tickled.
Everyone always laughed, or at least grinned.
Back up to the top of Bear Butte, after we sweated him off and walked him up to lock him in as we say.
(Set up his questing spot and set up his questing altar with colored flags and poles and sage on the ground surrounded by 606 tobacco prayer ties,
101 Black/W, 101 Red/N, 101 Yellow/E, 101 White/S, 101 Blue/Sky, 101 Green/Earth.)
He turned and said pierce me up four directions with Eagle claws.
He broke out his four Eagle claws and a obsidian knife for the piercing.
So the one putting him up on the Hill cut him or pierced him, two in the chest and two in the back. (4 directions)
The Eagle claws where inserted through the cuts and then a leather thong is attached and then
stretched and tied to a tree, four trees to be precise.(4 directions style)
He wanted the thongs stretched pretty tight and there was no slack for him to lay at all let alone move.
He was facing West and committed to 4 days with no food or water.
I was amazed at what I was witnessing.
After the four days had passed, we left his fire to retrieve him. A fire is kept going the whole time a quester is up on the Hill.
When we got to the top there he was sitting just like we left him.
He seen us and welcomed us and he gave two turns of his body and broke loose, tearing the Eagle claws through his flesh.
He stood up, or more like popped up and came toward us and he seemed more refreshed and lively then when we left him.
I am still amazed and so I remember in remembrance of Bear Butte and the people I have met there.
We would stay at Bear Butte the whole month of June when the sage is no more then a foot tall.
He was the only quester I had ever seen pierce on vision quest.
I would gladly shake his hand today.Tickle,Tickle.LOL

That is the best I can say at this time and hope the Sundance Chief does not mind me telling the story.

Hecetu welo, mitakuye oyasin. (It is so indeed, we are all related)

I always feel really sceptical when I see images like this:

Kind of ready to LOL or roll my eyes and go to coma.
Yet when I started listening to this Irish bloke, the story got very engaging and there are quite a few points that resonate.

Not sure if you are interested (?) but here is the link – it is a long interview:

I had no problem with him.
I actually got interested.I got engaged and viewed the whole broadcast.
It seemed I agreed 100% with his talk.
(Though I do not know anything about throwing bones yet)
He seemed to speak my language if I understood him correctly which I think I did.

As far as the money he is making from it, that is his issue to deal with
and if he is operating with GOOD intentions, then it will go how it goes.
If the elders he learnt from gave him blessings on his teachings and work
then good on him.
^
^^
I am only voicing my opinion on his words and my sense.I have not seen his walk or fruit as they say.

Yes. Me too! (despite my initial racial prejudice).
Related to the bones as well …. Heh.
