Suffocating stories

Suffocation
Stories abound
Human suffering
Tied and bound
By the hands of the one
Telling himself/herself the strain
Whether told untold
It will always remain

While you hold onto those stories
Of you as you feel
You’ll look right down the barrel
As the inward broken wheel

Anger all pervasive
Hurt streams through you
Running from your breath
Hurt running too!

Giving up, to suffocate
Drown in your sorrows
Breaking up friendships
Fading tomorrow’s

Suffocation
By stories
In your head
Your heart sees
Suffocation
By the worries
Of long held
Broken seeds

Forever being implanted
By the long held harm and blame
Suffocation remains
Worsening your claims


Claims to reclaim
The lost parts of you
Held in this basket
Where your body
Was used

Your body is your reclamation
Because without it
You can’t roar
You can’t fuel
The inner fire
As creation
And more

But rather
You’ll always be in the story
Of your long held
Broken view
New openings, new beginnings
Cannot break through

You may run as the lion
But you’ll never
Find your feet
As the roar untainted
As the lion
Set free

As an interconnected relationship
As a mind body spirt home
Everything inside us
Links together
Not alone

As you look into your body
Deep inside all of you
Are you ignorant?
Neglecting ?
More of you in view



Are you wasting, abusing
Neglected?
Or are you embracing
All of you connected?



Where you only look and notice
Where you shine as only you see
So much more of you moves together
As the relationship to self
You can be

Where trauma, pain and fear to look
Create the stream in you
This neglected self you ignore
Will always bind your view

You’ll turn that hole on yourself
Weave stories round and round
Your mind and body
Determined to
Control your every frown

Control those spaces hiding from
The person who can only see
Never will the broken mess
Be eternally open and free!
