Seemingly very negative reading?
 

The question. What do I need to know for my trip to visit my mother.

The cards I'm concerned with are the outcome card. 3 of swords reversed. I asked for clarification. And got 5 of swords reversed.

What would you interpret this as? Because the reading was generally positive until the outcome and clarification happened.

I realized this might not be the right place to ask this so, I'm sorry. I realize what it seems to be pointing to and if it is in fact that it wasn't right for me to ask any of you to comment on this. If a mod sees this would you please remove this thread, I don't want to be making anyone uncomfortable and I don't seem to be able to edit it myself. Thank you.

You can always ask questions here, but many Tarot people left to other places.
I didn't reply as I do not read reversals. And since you mention there was a spread and this is only part of it... then you're missing context.
In such cases, and when no one replies, you can always look for the Rx interpretation online or a book and use your intuition to derive what goes for your reading.
I understand that in somewhat biased situations this can be tricky but since I don't do reversals I cannot help you.

Oh yes I completely understand. I realized after thinking what it was telling me I shouldn't really burden others with. I asked for the information and it's on me to deal with it in the end.

I looked it up in a tarot book of mine and here's what I found.
three of swords reversed- recovery, releasing pain
five swords reversed- releasing, letting go of grudges
