Here we go again. Dogs and cows do not mix ! Fair bet that the dog was of it's leash and that this year's calves were with herd. Cows are big and stupid. They do not see your "cuddly" family pet, they see a predator, they see a wolf and they move to protect their young. Cows are also insatiably curious and will move to investigate anything in their territory. It is significant that the dog was badly injured.
Now, obviously, I am sorry that the woman [68] was killed but, if you don't use common sense, then these things will happen over and over again.
