Suggestions for a Taoist meditation?
Any instructions, possible visualizations, helpful tips that can lead meditation to Taoist insights? Thanks

Just breathe, when thoughts arise, and they will, do not try and suppress them, just acknowledge them and let them go.
|
Stop pretending as if your body is your body and acknowledge your body as your body.

Lake Meditation
I just learnt the "Lake meditation" - yesterday!
I really appreciate this meditation and feel as though it might fit quite well here  Lake Meditation Imagine that you are the water which fills a reservoir made of the earth. You are held by the earth and contained as a lake. Then imagine what it feels like to be a still lake, which is almost completely calm in response to the calm environment and weather around it. Stay here for as long as desired. Also imagine yourself as this same lake as the weather transitions through many different weather patterns which disturb the clarity and calmness on the top of the lake. Become all aspects of the lake, the calmer depths and the top of the lake which is in constant change in response to the external environmental patterns. Remain with this visualization for as long as desired. You are the entirety of this lake. |
In summer,
At the end of the day. As the lake becomes calm. Just love to lie on my back floating on the water. Watching the stars appear in the sky darkening. At one point there is only left a lake mirroring the sky. Regards |
