This is kinda random..but when I read your post the first song I thought of was "when I think about you I touch myself" which made me think of one time back in 2013, winter..idk if it was beginning of the year or end..but w/e. It had to be somewhat late at night, the roads were pretty bare. Well I was at a stoplight next to another car. I was going straight, he was turning left. That song was on and I decided to roll down my windows, blare the song and turned to the other car, a guy maybe in his 20s, and just started doing some weird creeper sort of dance in my seat to the song. I was facing, directed towards him maintaining a serious face while lip syncing towards him. I sure picked the right car because this guy clearly had no idea how to react to what was happening. He glanced over at me a few times very briefly..I am guessing he was trying to see if he knew me, something to rationalize why some random girl was doing this. Man did he take off when that arrow turned green. He was a good sport. I am willing to bet it gave him an interesting tale to tell whoever when he got to where he was going though.

A while ago you posted Tracy Chapman. I love her singing.
There are many who try to imitate her style, but nobody can imitate her presence, authenticity and talent.

Heavy X-mas:

I am falling in love with Nightwish again, since I learned that they have got a new lead singer Floor Jansen.
Not that fond of sopranos, but her warmth, strength and feelings come through:

(I’m not quite with it. A close friend passed this month and it quite literally knocked the wind out of me for a while and then my computer died).

sentient, Take your time, feel what you need to feel. You are not alone. :hug2:

My song of the day:
https://youtu.be/e9GtPX6c_kg

I broke the “law” tonight. Can you imagine? I saw a friend whom I had not seen in months! And I just rushed right up and hugged him. He is the only person who knows and understands sign language. I can freely speak with him. Our faces were in big goofy grins and our hands were carving pictures and ideas in the air! We laughed and teased and shone our light so bright. Maybe you all saw it from where you live? :D

It is just like how I can see: Lucky 1 dancing on a sandy beach with his soulmate, and Kkid reading Archie comics and ImthatIm paddling a boat in unison with his brothers and sisters. I see you all as your beautiful selves and the world is better for the beauty and light you all bring to it.

May we all set our intentions and blessing as we move forward toward the new year!

Thank you all! You are loved!

Could you give a little bit of a background story - why that song is meaningful to you personally?

*

The name of that song reminds me of Copenhagen, where I at times would go to this intimate café/bar/musical cabaret/theatre (how could one describe it?) called PURPLE DOOR where Jo Banks would fix those eyes of his on audience: https://img.discogs.com/kyEpjGS7Xs4n...-2384.jpeg.jpg
... and start telling fascinating stories - the band Soul Train coming on would further embellish.

A bit frightening it was how absolutely captivating and mesmerizing his presence and performances were.

A little bit of Sara McLachlan, In the arms of an angel https://youtu.be/1SiylvmFI_8

And Sara McLachlan, I will remember you, https://youtu.be/oxoEpVDGvPE

sometimes holidays are rough as we remember those who are gone and are missed. While this second song could be romantic, I do not really take it this way.
